Excellent video! Very peaceful and enjoyable. I haven't been on the Box Canyon road in at least 20 years. I used to hunt from the Greaterville area over to Madera Canyon. There are a number a very interesting side roads off the Box Canyon road as well. I see that you have a TJ Jeep Wrangler. What year is it? Looks like you've done a nice job with it. I also have a TJ. A 2001. I'll be roaming around in that area if we ever start cooling off to the 70's or 80's. I look forward to more of your excursions around Southern Arizona.

I drove that road several years ago and loved the scenery, the birds and the wildlife. Nothing like it!

Loved your video! I don’t have a jeep or any kind of off-road vehicle, so I used to park just off the pavement (Whitehouse Canyon Rd) and run Box Canyon Road out to the Arizona Trail for a long day in the mountains. I moved away from Arizona to the east coast 10 years ago and miss it like crazy! This video allowed me to relive that route for a few minutes. Thank you!

Been on it a few times. It can be done with a 2wd pickup. I never had to shift into 4x4. 2010 Toyota Sequoia, no lift, street tires, go slow and take it all in.

I just drove that road on sunday 3/18/24. Absolutely beautiful .

In case anyone is concerned, I did this road a few months ago (May 24') in my Prius, and it was no problem at all :) I'd just be extra careful about monsoons depending on the time of year.... really that needs to be a concern, regardless of the vehicle. Oh, I'm a birder, and I got some fantastic shots on that road :) Would LOVE to go back :)
