I love this hair colour on you. This is the best for your facial tones.
ОтветитьSuch a great review!! Thank you so much!!
ОтветитьI am even later than you to the Zadie party 😃 - found your review so helpful and informative. I am only 5'3" so based on Tamlyn's review will probably take a few cms out of the rise. Looking forward to make it now i'm armed with more info. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьThis is one of the best I have seen! Love it! Inspired to get on with mine!
ОтветитьI am long bodied, so I still had to lengthen the crotch depth by ¾ inch as in my toile I struggled to get I off once I tried it on 😂
ОтветитьJust getting round to thinking about making this Rachel. Great review and your version is lovely. V helpful 😻
ОтветитьThis review is so helpful for newbies like myself! Thank you for making this.
ОтветитьI'm just about to make this Rachel so am so pleased I came across your vlog. Guess what- I didn't have enough fabric to get the bias tape cut.!!.. might have to use lots of very small pieces! I love your version x
ОтветитьSo it’s been enough time… how does it feel in the summer? (Too hot?). And have you adapted it in other seasons with a top underneath? Also does it show a lot of cleavage if you are sitting and slouching? I am an older not flat chested woman but I don’t like low cut necklines that slim girly ingénue figures can handle.
ОтветитьHa, You think you are late to the party, well I may have missed it! Im just making up my Zadie. thanks for all the tips on fit Rachel
ОтветитьLooks gorgeous on you
ОтветитьI loved your review by the way, thank you.
ОтветитьHi, is there any way i could squeeze the sleeveless version out of 2 metres of linen (53 inches wide) if i made the bias strips from smaller strips joined together?
ОтветитьFabulous review, really helpful and detailed, you explain things really well, thank you for sharing x
ОтветитьI agree with every word. I must have a go at making this, but I think I’d make the legs a whisker narrower.
Ответитьlove the rainbow overlocker thread! What brand is it?
ОтветитьI am very very late to the party! :) I just purchased the Zadie pattern to make for this spring & summer. Thank you so much for this very detailed pattern review. You have given me a wonderful start to my make!
ОтветитьHi I love the zadie jumpsuit, your fabric is lovely!
I have just purchased the pattern and am rather a beginner but want to give it a go!
I have ordered some fabric and have traced the pattern onto my tracing paper, but when I look at instructions one of the first steps is to stitch front to rear at the shoulder seam but mine don’t match?, I have checked but one shoulder seam the pattern is straight and the other has a slight curve?
If I try match then the armholes wont match so not sure what I’m doing wrong, maybe it will become apparent when I start?
Any advice welcome!
Thank you
Helen x
This is such a fantastic review, and so helpful, thank you x
ОтветитьThank you - this is on my list of patterns to buy - I'm so pleased I came across your review, it's really helpful.
ОтветитьSome great tips for beginners. Makes the garment construction far less intimidating.
ОтветитьJust cut my Zadie out so this was a really useful review, just wondered if you can get away with pockets in a different fabric?
ОтветитьGreat job! Can you please tell me where you got the thread that you used for serging? I absolutely love the different colors!
ОтветитьIt looks really good. I am like you in that if something is really popular I want to back off but then I think, everyone's version will be different and am I likely to be in the same area as another make? We are so few and far apart I don't think so. Thank you for doing these videos.
ОтветитьThis was super helpful! If I shorten the rise should I add that back in somewhere else? Thank you!
ОтветитьRachel thank you for the Zadie jumpsuit review. I love when you know what youare getting into when cutting and sewing a pattern. I have sewn some patterns that don't explain things good at all and end up fustrated and put in a pile of "May get back too. Thank you foryour honest opinion and some great tips. Have a great week.
ОтветитьGreat review Rachel, and the jumpsuit looks really nice on you.xxJean.
ОтветитьYou look amazing in that!!
You definitely need a couple more in other fabrics
Can't wait to see those
Well done
Take care
Excellent review
🐯
ОтветитьYou look great in it and I'm in love with the front portion of it. It's something I can see myself wearing. Thanks for the review. Much love and stay warm my dear.
ОтветитьGreat review Rachel and beautiful jumpsuit! I’m glad you waited too! I say that because I can relate...I don’t like making something everyone’s making at the same time and that’s usually the reason why I do so many hacks! I love the fit of this jumpsuit on you! I’ve not made many jumpsuits myself, maybe two in my lifetime and one was a romper (shorts). But I do like them especially yours in this beautiful color! I had to laugh when you mentioned some looking like the Americans prison jumpsuit!! 😂😂😂 . Great job!
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьLove this review Rachel. I realise that I prefer line drawings because designers so often choose large and dominant prints to illustrate their instructions and I find it hard to see the details which are so important. I would also like to share a bit of Aussie sunshine with you!
ОтветитьWhen I first saw it 3 years ago I really did not like it. However, It’s been growing on my and your version is beautiful. My question is, do you have the Now and Then Beach Pyjamas pattern? I was wondering how different they are as the latter also has a dress 😊
ОтветитьI absolutely loved your review of this jumpsuit it was so informative how could I not want to try it.... like you I am going to be late to the party on this but who cares....the good point for me though is I cut this pattern out a year ago then left it unfinished...so you have inspired me to finish it now though so thank you Rachel.xx
Ответить😃
ОтветитьGreat review Rachel, it looks fab on you xx
ОтветитьThanks so much for your honest and detailed review. It was really helpful and I feel more confident now to have a go at the Zadie! I think your fabric choice is lovely and the fit is amazing. I can only hope that mine turns out as well 😊
ОтветитьLooks lovely on you.
Ответитьthank you for the review. having seen your make last week i went and purchased the pattern and now seeing the review feel confident making it
ОтветитьYour jumpsuit is beautiful! Wonderful review. Thanks for sharing!!!
ОтветитьI am so much the same with new designs! I don’t like bandwagons in general lol.
Ответить*round of applause* I'm the same as you, I got into creating my own wardrobe because I couldn't deal with having a wardrobe so very similar to everyone else, no snobbery, no shade I just wanted to wear what I want to wear, rather than what a small number of fashion designers & professional buyers decide is big on the high street! And I admit, regardless of how much I like a pattern, if the sewing community goes bananas for it, I avoid it like the plague until its died down again! 😊 x
ОтветитьLove the fit of the jumpsuit on you and the colour is gorgeous. Love your hair in a bin too.
ОтветитьWonderful review! The color and fit of the jumpsuit looks perfect on you. You don’t look like a convict at all! 😉
ОтветитьI love it!
ОтветитьMy favorite part is you thinking it looks like an orange convict jump suit and then fearlessly make it in terra cotta orange! And yes here you are with a beautiful jumpsuit
ОтветитьExcellent review. Not that I’m tempted to make a jumpsuit....ever!
ОтветитьThis is absolutely gorgeous Rachel. I’ve been on the fence about it too! Now I’ve seen this review it makes me think might have a bash at it! 👍🏼
