The OG version was better but I did really enjoy Mafia 3

Never seen a bug on PS4 and PS5, Mafia 2 is the game with the bugs. Mafia 3 also has the best villain/story of the 3 games.

really good video. Keep it up! also, i played mafia 3 very early in its life cycle on the ps4, and the bugs weren’t that bad if i remember correctly.

Majority of open world games are going to get repetitive at a certain point. Mixing in DLC while doing the main quests helps with the repetitiveness a lot.

This was one of the first games that really gave me a bad case of buyer's remorse. Not that I had never had any stinkers before but I was such a huge fan of this franchise and so looking forward to it. I got it on release and within a couple of weeks was forcing myself to play it rather than really enjoying it

Which sucks because I think the story is actually really good, and the game starts out so strong. But once you get to the point where you have to complete all of these menial repetitive open world tasks in order to progress the story it just starts to get really stale.

Animations and gun fights felt okay, not the best but it felt like it had some weight to it.

But I never felt like there was any real reason to explore the city, and I thought the driving kind of sucked too

I've heard a lot of people say the game is way better now but I have tried to revisit it a couple of times and I just end up totally uninstalling it

But Man though it has one hell of a soundtrack. Great radio stations

I have 170 hours in mafia 3. My complaints are: poor execution variety, the camera glitch after rackets, the rackets are too “enemy stand around” and are just too many, and NO FAST TRAVEL. My loves: the associate system (I’m a mob sucker and this shit makes me feel like I’m really a mob boss), the GUNS ARE SO GOOD, the story (ofc) and the DLC. I do understand the hate for this game, BUT get absolutely BAKED, put a good movie on in the background, and this game has no flaws. But sober review, 6.8/10. EDIT: the city of new Bordeaux (New Orleans) is awesome.

Bro I got mafia 3 on day one. I only ran into visual glitch on my gameplay. And for the driving, you just gotta get good. I play that game religiously and I learned how to manipulate the cars how I want and not crash. I love the review though!!

Mafia 3 is a case of too much for too little, if it only focused on the story missions and beats while completely optimiseing the game, it could have been a sweet 8/10 maybe even 9, like mafia Definitive edition, this game suffers a bad case of ubisoft syndrome, hopeing mafia 4 dosent have such issues

you never use slo-mo while driving? Can prevent a lot of crashes with it

The solution to how they could have fix the game is hidden in the DLC, imagine if the DLC story were included in the main story, each rocket boss had his own story, like when he goes to island have that relate to the Spanish guy who kept saying I hate Ni...g 😁, have the story of the cult story related to radio guy , it would have connected the world and made it more interested

I played this game on release & again a few years later with all the DLC. This game has an amazing story, but jesus christ the racket missions were soooooooo boring after a while. Eventually I got to the point where id just take out an entire districts with only the knife. Im not even good at stealth but you can just run right up to someone, stab them and keep it pushing. I used to ioke the game was basically a Black Jack the Ripper simulator

Game was trash. It's unfortunate that with such captivating characters and an alternative and interesting story the entire game was weakened with multiple negative factors.

1) repetitive gameplay mechanics intended to be structured in a military plan of action, but ended up boring after the first district.

2) unbearable glitches and half-finished graphics lead to the game's audio and visuals cutting out or the game crashing all together.

3) Lack of after-game content.
In mafia 2, you could collect and customize almost any vehicle in the game, and there were restaurants, businesses and other functional infrastructure that gave it a more realistic and entertaining factor after completing the game.

4) lack of alternative story-based DLCs, outside of the ones provided.

I enjoyed how Mafia 2 gave us 3 additional story-based DLC packs that allowed us to play as Joe Barbaro or Jimmy. That was fun!

The story DLCs in mafia 3 had an intriguing premise, but fell short of my expectations. The only DLC mission pack that I truly enjoyed, was the "Faster, Baby" DLC.

It was fun and felt significant to help take down a corrupt, racist sheriff and having an entire section of extra map, approximately ¼ the size of the main map was really awesome.

Lastly, the fact that everything in mafia 3 is so expensive to unlock, or requires lengthy and extremely difficult side-missions to access, combined with the fact that if you don't store your money away regularly, and can be killed at any minute by enemies, makes saving up for these upgrades incredibly difficult.

Even with the repetitiveness on PC I don’t think mods can’t fix it 😭

Wait doesn't every game have a gimmick.. Like dead island you kill zombies cod is the same shit every year wwe you are a wrestler gta you take missions from other ppl so why does mafia get so much hate.. Like this is a great game not perfect but it's still a great game I hope when mafia 4 comes out it is even better .. But nothing can top the story from mafia 3

I personally really enjoyed Mafia 3, but I do agree it is a buggy mess. If they patched these annoying glitches, the game would be way more enjoyable. I really hate when you have to reload checkpoints because of glitches.

The main missions were fun. I enjoyed the ferry mission. The stuff in between is so boring. This games biggest flaw was going open world and not making the game linear

I love and hate this game at the same time. I beat this game numerous times because i actually love it more than i actually hate it. What's crazy is that Mafia 1 & 2 are better on so many levels. But i always go back to Mafia 3. Bring back Scarface & The Godfather to PS5!

it was repetitive no dougbt but you can cut the ground work in half by taking out high earning parts of each racket and make the big boss show up earlier.

the best part of this game was the set piece missions where you take out sal marcano's capos and his brothers. the riverboat mission with uncle lou and the youngest brother with the gambling racket the, the shootout at burkes junkyard. etc.

I recently started playing Mafia3 DE again and MY GOD, I have a glitch that doesn't let me start a mission for whatever reason.

and yeah, the game is very repetitive.
and also the game looks terrible. everything is so blurry and washed out. even when I disable motion blur and film grain. it still looks terrible. and I actually have a very good gaming laptop. so I know that my computer isn't the problem.

I think I will delete the game and never touch it again. I was in fact nostalgic for playing this game again because I remember it to somewhat be good and look good as well when I first played it a few years ago. the same Definitive Edition.

but playing it again now, the reality is very different from what I remember it to be. maybe I have been confused and was in fact comparing the graphics for Mafia3 with other much better games.

Mafia3 looks really terrible.
poor man's version of a GTA game.

hell, I have played Mafia 1 DE and that game was much better to play and look att although it was bare bones open world.

at least Mafia1 didn't have garbage repetitive missions or stupid useless nonsense like wiretap the whole map with bugs.

shame because Mafia3 actually has a good story.
