Have great experience with the original pathfinder collar and my GSPs. Thinking I’m going to upgrade to the 2
ОтветитьYou should test the collar with an EMF tester , might explain why the dog is acting funny as stated.
ОтветитьJunk. Buy a Garmin, they last for years. They'll blame you and your phone when it doesn't work
ОтветитьSo you still happy with the whole setup. Do you run a watch now or still the second phone.
ОтветитьCan you disable the bright green flashing on the collar? I do a lot of dawn and dusk deer stalking so would not be able to have a flashing light drawing attention to the dog.
ОтветитьIs there any pathfinder 2 MINI ?
ОтветитьI am a distributor of Dogtra products in Spain. Europe has been impatiently awaiting the arrival of the Pathfinder 2 for almost a year and it is predicted to arrive at last next month (January). I am anxious to add it to my inventory and offer it throughout Spain and Portugal, but I am worried that I will know much less than I should about it, so I have been watching all the videos I can find. This video is the best one I have seen on the subject because it discusses the plusses and minuses in plain language that any English speaker should be able to understand. It's a great introductory course in Pathfinder 2. Thank you for your time and dedication to helping us all, Dave.
ОтветитьQuestion - How do you access tone, vibrate, or nick from the handheld unit? It looks like the unit has one button that can do one of these things based on settings in the app. What if you need to QUICKLY go from tone to vibrate to nick? This appears to require going to the app and changing the handheld device button settings. What if you need to react quickly in the field to correct a dog that is running away? Seems complicated. Thanks for any feedback!
ОтветитьYou can route the GPS antenna through the buckles to keep it from distracting the dogs.
ОтветитьDoes this work without cell coverage?
ОтветитьGood looking dog
ОтветитьHow practical is the collar for hunting in very thick mountains where the dog cannot move easily, it is very risky or its design allows it to be used in any type of terrain and vegetation, be it trees or small and very thick bushes and thorny bearing in mind that the receiving antenna should not be secured around the collar so as not to lose coverage; If the dog has to go through rivers or swim, is there a problem?
thank you very much for your reply
I would not recommend this. Buy a Garmin. Can't update firmware without app crashing on additional collar.. is saying my second dog is 6k miles away.. wtf
ОтветитьGreat in depth review. Yes, the E-fence is a great new feature. To any user reading here is the 411 on the NEW E-Fence: USER CAN SET MINIMUM 1 FENCE 1,000 YARDS SIZE MINIMUM. DOG APPROACHES BOUNDARY=1 TIME VIBRATE + ALERT. DOG LEAVES BOUNDARY =1 TIME 5 SECOND STIMULATION + ALERT. DOG RETURNS= ALERT ONLY NO STIM. IF DOG KEEPS GOING OUTSIDE BOUNDARY NO ADDITIONAL STIM WILL BE APPLIED. We posted the full tutorial on our channel as well of how all the fences work.
ОтветитьGreat review Dave. Well done. Dogtra is a brand also sold in Italy. They have been used for years especially for tracking dogs that stray a lot. Buona giornata! Ciao!
