The Accord hybrid is not worth it. My parents got one.

For the first 5 years or so, it was great, but by then years, the mileage became worse than a non-hybrid Accord. Plus, they stop making parts for the hybrid sooner than the regular Accord. Did I mention the higher maintenance costs?

I couldn’t help but notice the housing developments all along that stretch of main road. - This is a genuine question. But is that common all over Canada? Here in the US (in FL in particular) it’s all over and shows no signs of stopping until the natural land is gone. And I hope that’s not the case in Canada. Is it?

The 1.5L turbo is a huge no-no. That engine has serious problems, which is the only reason I'd never get a Civic right now.

I own both vehicles, 2.0t accord sport and civic touring, both are great options with different pros and cons.

For the Accord and Civic to compete with each other the customer has to go to the lot and want to buy a Honda.

As cool as it would be to own a new Honda Civic, 40k for a car is way too much for someone who doesn't drive that much.

Did the same comparison. Ended up getting the accord due to comfortability and back seat space. I also noticed a big difference when driving it on the highway. The accord was just comfortable and the civic felt like my 2010 Toyota Corolla and I was not having any of it. Both amazing cars but for my needs the accord was the way to go.

That’s the thing. These cars (2023) are just too expensive. Cannot find a touring for under 40K!!! That’s crazy for a civic!

Accord looks better

My 2 biggest gripes for my 2022 civic sport are the underwhelming heat in the winter, it takes forever to defrost the windshield and has blind spots. And the weak stereo. The rear speakers are useless in the rear doors, they should have been in the back by the rear window. The sound quality overall is horrible.

Traded my ‘22 sport touring hatch for a 2.0t touring. If you have a kid, the Accord is the better choice. Even if you’re single the Accord is amazing. Rear seat room and the trunk is far better in the Accord.

For this comparison, I would say it's worth the extra $12K for what you get. Now, if you were to compare the 2023 Civic vs. Accord, I'd say go with the Civic. The all-new Accord has been neutered down to an appliance on wheels, the 2.0T is gone, and it even looks down market.

newer hondas don't look as good especially on the interior. for some reason their newer interiors are also lower quality and you can especially notice this on their seats, especially cloth seating. Cloth seating on newer cars is a joke these days. even the way the seats look was much better back then.

I see them as a loss it is annoying how i cant get a regular automatic tranny all we have to choose from is cvt and stick on select models tmk the only stick with the 2.0L is the type r if im not mistaken however might just be what everyone is throwing money at

I hope that Honda has their transmissions figured out. I have a 2017 Accord EX-L and am having to replace the six speed auto transmission at a cost of around $5,400.00 (work isn't finished yet). It currently only has 56,000 miles, and has been babied it's entire life (I'm the original owner) I can only imagine how complicated and expensive their ten speed transmission would be to replace.

: My wife and I purchased a 2023 Honda Civic Sport 2.0L about 3 weeks ago. We R loving it.
We had a 1998 Honda Accord in which we had for 24 years. The accord was totaled in an accident, so we replaced it with the new civic. We took very good care of the Accord up until this point.
Hopefully, we'll get the same amount of time out of the new civic. I quite enjoyed the side-by-side comparison of these 2 Honda's.
