He couldn’t get on mindcrack so he made his own server and community then got on mindcrack, mindcrack eventually wanted to be more business oriented and some didn’t want to go down that path so they left to play on a server with no contract. Not sure about all the drama or alleged scummy stuff I just liked b team

i can kinda understand not making a full return but it would be cool if he came back for cameo appearances here and there

GernerikB is like the ex who cheats on you, gets married and has a few kids, then when their marriage explodes they show up on your doorstep asking you to take them back, he wasnt their to rejoin friends, he ditched them way too easy to ever be called a friend by most, he was there because MindCrack failed and he only had success their because of his chemistry with bdubs.

I mean... He abandoned Hermitcraft for the more popular mindcrack at the time. Could very well be that they worried he'd do the same thing again. It has to be said that he was only interested in HC again when it was known that etho would also be part of HC, and that mindcrack was collapsing. So could be that they saw he may have been joining for the wrong reasons.

He left because he thought HermitCraft is a dying server, when he came back it was already in the rise.

If it's a ship, it had already sailed, and he was left on the shore because he decided not to go and frantically wanted to board after seeing it sail.

Guys the first hermitcraft video was uploaded on the exact day of the RMS Titanic's 100th anniversary

This video is full of misinformation and leaves out vital moments like the drama between him and Mindcrack where he was found making and not disclosing sponsored server videos.

Low quality video. Lots of missing details such as the fake server prank, and misleading narrative overall, he was neither "betrayed" or the innocent guy in the story as this makes him out as. If you're reading this, I recommend you don't watch this video

Never knew the history but when I was younger I have a vague memory of his modded minecraft videos.

He might seem like a genuine and funny person on the outside. But after hearing Guude .. I'm convvinced Generik is an a**hole first class and should be avoided at all costs. Don't support this pos.

Basically it boils down to he gambled and lost. He chose the wrong server thinking it would skyrocket and when the regret kicked in, it was too little too late.

Guude has always maintained that Genny and Bdubs’ undisclosed advertising stunt was what led him to turn Mindcrack into a registered business so he would have legal leverage to prevent situations like that. The paperwork that came with that drove Etho among others away from the server and the B-Team were removed from the group. That mass exodus of some of their most popular creators killed Mindcrack.

With that context, it’s easier to see why the hermits would be wary of the guy.

As for Bdubs, he rejoined Hermitcraft in Season 5 as part of the New Hermit Order arc with Etho, Doc, and Beef and it seems like they were a bit of a package deal there. Not to mention he always had his building series and really cleaned up his brand after Mindcrack.

There was some deception with hawking a pay to play server and not disclosing his was invested in it as well.

It’s funny people think he was ever serious about coming back in the first place. Which is probably why the hermits said no.

He was the first Minecraft channel I ever watched. I used to watch genericb over a decade ago. I remember when he put out that vid that he was moving completely to twitch... Sad day.

i feel like is 100% what generikb himself says in his post. he has not played nor uploaded anything minecraft related for a long time. if you are going to join hermitcraft. just because of your name is not a good excuse. im quite sure that most of the hermits have not problems with generikb, in fact im quite sure that bdubs would be very happy if he gets his partner in crime back.

is just that generikb needs to be relevant in the minecraft sphere again, then he couldprobably join no problem. i can see he doing a couple series with bdubs, or maybe one alone (an skyblock one, or something on those lines). if he is able to make entertaining content during those series and the response in views is minimally decent he would probably be in easily.

You forget that there was also a Mindcrack drama where Guude all but accused Generik B and BdoubleO100 of some sort of scam. The story is muddy from what I know, the timeline matching with Mindcrack radical shift of direction, and Guude tried to hint that it was all because 2 members of the server commited crime and jeopardized the entire server. Guude explained that they were kicked, however that matches perfectly with other creators such as Etho exiting mindcrack and citing concerns about new contract and rules that were enforced. Guude never names B-team, but instead alludes that it was them by excludion when he talks of reasons why others left, but failsto mention these two.
I also couldn't find ANY information of scam coming other than from Guude, but it could just be hushed up or someone was caught in the act before doing any damage. Or it could be a total BS from Guude whose reputation is not crystal clear either.

Anyway, there's that. I can see however how mere rumors of wrongdoing could be enough for Hermits to raise concerns, and I'm sure that they internally may have more information. 😮

I loved the entire B-team thing. The entire server hanging around GB's house when he was drunk and blew it up, while Etho was trying to anvil-kill him. Or the time they placed all the wooden fences in his base, lagging out the game.

I think he deserves to return to hermitcraft if he returns to the Minecraft content making. Of course hè streams it more now but if it was up to me he’d be back for season 10
