Undervolt your Laptop RTX 3060 for more FPS - Asus TUF F15 Dash

it does not work bro, no change.
For a second it will show change and then again back to low mhz

idk why but my frames dropped from 120fps to 35-40, i did every step in video. does someone know why? (i have rtx 3060 laptop gpu)

I did this in a similar laptop and my temperature is 58c max. Anything I can do to get it until 80? Thanks

Hey bro I think i have same model as yours i need a neelp I have a Asus tuf f15 dash FX516PM 3060 since couple of last months i am getting 90 fps in games like valorant for the lowest setting and after every 10 min it starts giving 60 fps. did you faced any issue as such?

What's your 3060 gpu version?

The temp of gpu never exceed 62c
And the cpu temp is around 70-74

second setting leaves me under 60C😎
Now my laptop is actually a *lap*top

The lowest you can undervolt is 706mV @1500Mhz.
The temps are astonishing around 50-65 celcius with fans rpm running at 3500 under full load(gaming).
You wont get annoyed by fan sound and play more comfortably.
Anyone with higher fans rpm can get even far more less temps.
i play games at 2k resolution in ultra settings.
Lemme know if anyone used this found this usefull.

1500@750 really works, it reduced almost ~10°c while maintaining relatively the same performance yet alot more stable. it also reduced power draw ~20%. thanks alot man 🙂.

How did you bypass Armoury Crate? Do you run both? Dont they conflict each other or one overides the other? I have a RYZEN 7945HX with an NVIDIA RTX 4080 on a Zephyrus DUO 16. Does your tutorial applies to me too?

I just recently bought a dell g15 with r7 6800 and a RTX 3060, and Im experiencing severe throttling playing destiny 2, which is not even close to a high load game, I could run it just fine with my previous i7 7700 and 1050 ti. I think its thermal throttling because the problem only appears when the weather is hot, like above 32ºC. When Im normally getting above 120 fps, out of nowhere it drops below 40 in some instances but since D2 doesnt allow 3rd party apps to run OSD I couldnt find the problem just playing destiny, and the other game I was playing (ARK) wouldnt show the same issue. On Battlefield V Ive finally managed to find that the problem was on the GPU, it was dropping to 45-50w power when its designed to run on stock at around 110-130w. And now I've find this video and as soon as the weather heat up again I'll see if this fix worked. Soon I'll update with some news. hi, I have an acer nitro 5 an 517-52, I followed the advice in the video, the PC is fine but I wanted to ask you, my 3060 GPU reaches up to 2100mhz without undervolt at dark temperatures, I set it as in the video to 1650mhz but by doing so I lose fps by lowering the value from 2000 to 1650 or does it not change at all???

i tried it on valorant mid game i went back to default it was the same results should i restart after resetting to defualt or did the undervolt not work

Edit: with results i mean fps i didnt check anything else and i also opened valorant the second i did them if thats the problem then someone say pls

but why does undervolt makes memory clock high even when idle , this increases the temps when idle , am i suppose to only activate it before starting a game ?

Ty for the quide friend. Fastest and smoothest i found on y2. One additional tip. You can save this undervolt profile to be used as a default for 3d apps. Click floppy disk icon, save as number 1 (for example) profile, go into the settings and in profiles tab set number 1 as default for 3d apps. I believe MSI doesnt use your undervolt as default w/o this, and you need to manually activate this on OS start.

Eeeeh, my 3060 laptop gpu can go to the max of +3000 memory clock speed but yours can go to only +300? I'm going to copy your +300 because I know overclocking the memory clock too much will damage/cause even more heat with my laptop. Thank you for making this video!

The 11370H is a huge bottleneck and it gets even worse when thermal throttled. Since there is no way to undervolt the CPU, I decided to follow your recommendation and I can say that the the minimum framerates improved considerably. The GPU runs way cooler though it wasn’t a huge problem even before, but the CPU still manages to reach pretty high temps (90 and above) though there’s overall less frequency throttling. Need to test in some other games but I’m already pretty happy with the results. Thank you!

I just had 3060 max q 80w scale to 105w. I flashed vbios with 115w version and undervolt it.. It runs cooler and had around 10 to 15 procent fps boost. Im happy thank you 0.750v scale to 1702mhz
