Always wondered about the difference between HBM and GDDR, any change you guys could run an A40 and compare it against the A100? Or go a few steps older, say P100 vs P40. How much difference there is in, say, Blender? Stable diffusion? Gaming? Any benchmarks I have been able to find online are... well... not real world this vs that benchmarks imo :)

Makes me wonder if this would boost the preformance of emulation like for example ryujinx using open gl compared to vulkan, any answers?

Even only half of the cores, the I/O bound is the KEY of the whole picture. The 5120-bit bus and the memory bandwidth mean efficiency and the efficient compute means speed. I wish someone hack the vulkan or directx to work on this.

If they can provide such efficient power usage on such a beastly card, why don't they do it on gaming cards? I'd pay a premium for a card that wasn't so power hungry.

I've wanted to have the 80GB A100 for a while. But I just don't have the facilities for passive cooling. I've used the RTX A6000 48GB variant. Since then, there's an ADA RTX A6000 which is superior, but same memory, Since my problem has been, from the start, OOME, out-of-memory error, I still haven't updated.

Oh yeah also for the fan shroud thing I’m sure you know but sucking is almost always more efficient when moving air through a confined space
