Dear friends,

Thank you so much for your lovely comments! I would like to express my mixed feelings about this performance.

It was my first attempt to perform a choreography with elements of South Indian Classical dance which I know I am not trained in like I am in Kathak. I just felt that I should perform something that is not common (not common matlab not the fitness-sexy-bollywood that we see 24/7) - and a Telugu song was my choice, which I ask you to accept as something that was important for me personally, being a Telugu-Russian by origin.

I also felt very bad for the sound editing in this video, as the person responsible for sound editing didn't do his job properly to put together the sound of ghungroos recorded on mic and the song itself, so the ghungroos sounded completely out of rhythm which of course was not what people have actually heard during my live performance. Those who watch my videos know pretty much about my sense of rhythm.

I will keep presenting different shades of Indian culture to the world, stay tuned for more :)

Did very great performance mam but judges don't know our culture n art we support you

The judges are nto qualified to judge Indian classical i swear it needs expertise o a different lvl we won't even imagine

why do these judges say it is not that good. I can't believe how a person can not enjoy a different cultural dance, this performance is really good. It feels like they are mocking other cultures.

watching this in October 2023. It is indeed mesmerizing to watch such a talent. but all those oldies who cannot even walk probably are judging such an energetic dance. :)

I watched this performance and wholeheartedly congratulate you. You are blessed with a photogenic face, mesmerizing eyes, your smile is captivating, and you are a bundle of talent. When you start looking inwards and dance for yourselves, it connects you with the divine that transforms your performance to one of excellence. When you master classical dance under the expert guidance of a guru, any cinematic dance will become cake walk for you. Blessed are your parents. Svetlana I have watched most of your performances. You are a wonderfully talented dancer, so beautiful and graceful. A lot of people who don’t understand your style of dance do not realise you are telling a story through dance. Those negative judges watched your performance without it’s meaning. You will no doubt face biases, barriers, lack of understanding and negativity but rise above it, you can do what they will never be able to do. ❤️
