I vote for the Eastman. Louder. Biting aggressive rock n' roll tone. I'm sure it mellows out a bit when the volume knob is dialed down. Also like the red color.

Vintage '56 doesn't have the raunchiest p-90 of the bunch, but it has a sweet top end and the classic Gibson nasal honk. The surprise was the Ebony - very close second favorite to my ear. I would grab that one in a heartbeat. Love to hear some single note comparisons. Great video, Guitar Village.

Glad that you posted this video as I have been looking to buy a Junior. A 50's is out of the question price wise so I was most interested in hearing the difference between the Custom Shop version and the non-custom shop, I had played the Ebony Jr in a store and loved it, Sounded great and stayed in tune great, Your video confirms that there is minimal difference from Custom shop Jr to non-Custom shop in sound. Sounded almost identical to me. Just curious if there is a big difference in specs on the body construction? I believe the C S version is one piece, not sure about the non-CS. Do you know the differences?

There's something about Gibson guitars that Epiphone just doesn't have. It's a balance of power and artificiality.

That Epiphone SC LP Jr. sounded best to my ear. Surprising!

The lollar P90 sounds too ‘twangy’ for me, would be a nightmare to tame. That’s not a knock on their brand, I some humbuckers of theirs in my Maton.

im a little confused as a newbie to guitars, is this a full sized guitar or is it made for kids because its a junior?

Well that Eastman was cool but the original sounds just so amazing. The custom shop sounded sweet but pretentiously so compared to that black one. My opinions only. Thanks for this I love seeing quick clips between similar gear for comparisons.
