As much as I think fights should be like this in most shows the stupid monologues are part of JoJo and it would be such a different show without them.

I really like the strategies and battle IQs being used here. Bro caught a bullet and used SP to stop his heart from beating so he wouldn't be detected by Dio.

You have these insane fights with crazy inner monologues over them planning their next move. This is probably what it feels like in universe for DnD characters who don’t just hear these batshit insane moves. It goes for just as long as well.

Ok picture this jotaro and dio but if they were born in the yugioh universe.

It's telling how just this quick, messy edit improved the scene by at least 50%. Imagine if they had actually written it with pacing in mind.

the fact that pretty much this whole fight was about Jotaro needing to bait DIO into getting close because he had the disadvantage with timestop is shown off really well here. one of the best flowing fights in JoJo honestly.
