Getting PBs is always a reward
When I started, even finishing a 5k was a challenge
Well done Anna - I’m just getting back to running after 4 months out with an avulsion fracture on my heel. The first run/walk felt amazing and I’ve built up very gradually to 2 miles running. Tomorrow is a 4 miler - it’s amazing how much you miss it!
ОтветитьI'm currently 37 weeks pregnant and haven't been able to run for most of it. I am already anticipating my first run back in a few months and I get emotional thinking about it!
This was such a well-timed and inspiring video. Thanks, Anna! And congratulations on your baby girl and well done on easing sensibly back into running :).
Sees Anna, clicks video. It's that simple. Great to see you back Anna 🥰
Ответить🎉 Well done. I'd like to see a review of the Nipper Sport Buggy.
ОтветитьGo Anna!
ОтветитьCongratulations on your baby girl Anna. I also had an emergency section and and elective for my second baby, totally relate to your own body feeling a bit alien. Would love to get back to running but find it so hard with 2 under 2
ОтветитьOh. Welcome back! So great to see you again.
ОтветитьHe Anna!
Welcome back!
So glad Anna is back . Love her films . Good luck being Mum
ОтветитьWelcome back Anna! Thrilled to see this video on my feed. Can’t wait to watch your journey back
ОтветитьCongratulations Anna on the baby! Glad to see you back!!
ОтветитьSorry Anna, Ralph took over the video! Amazing Anna, as a man I have no idea how women can go through the massive thing of pregnancy and child birth and come back to running even stronger, full of admiration for you and all other parents.
ОтветитьSo happy your back!! You were missed! Congrats
ОтветитьEven though my (non-emergency, but also not selective) C-section was over 4,5 years ago, this video makes me so happy to see! You go, Anna!!
ОтветитьI pushed myself way too hard too soon after my first baby, and unfortunately, my body really rebelled. I felt as though I needed to be able to get back to where I was pre-baby within a few weeks, but my body had other ideas :). What followed was years of injuries, stops and starts, another baby, and more injuries. After an Achilles tendinitis injury that took me out for a year, I decided I needed to treat myself like a beginner and start anew. It was humbling, to say the least—especially since I was now in my late 40s vs. my early 30s when I first got into running. But…”starting over” gave me a chance to do things the proper way this time: to discover my easy run pace, to dedicate myself to foundational strength training, to learn how to fuel and hydrate correctly. While my progress has been slower than I’d like, I am seeing progress, and I’m not giving up! My goal is to run for the rest of my life (fingers crossed), so I’ve got time to work on it :).
ОтветитьYes!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
ОтветитьWe missed you!!!
ОтветитьSo happy to see Anna back and to see her joy in getting back to running!
ОтветитьI love this! I had postpartum depression, which made it hard when I had my babies. I need to get back out there now, but it’s hard when it’s -9 degrees out!
ОтветитьLovely to see you back Anna. I’m currently 5 weeks PP with my 2nd and dying to get running again. Also C-section so won’t be anytime soon, but I will bring some swimming into my week after watching this.
ОтветитьAnna is back! Hope to see plenty more of your infectious enthusiasm!
ОтветитьIt’s so lovely seeing Anna back. She’s always an amazing inspiration. Looking forward to seeing her do her 5k. ❤

Ответитьbrilliant the og queen is back on the channel wooo
ОтветитьWelcome back Anna!! That absolute joy at running your first minute of running is amazing! I had major abdominal surgery almost 11 weeks ago , started c25k at 8 weeks post op with my consultants blessing. This weekend, I managed the run my whole parkrun at a comfortable pace. I ran up to 2 days before the op and was outside walking from 3 days post op. I had the benefit of being able to get lots of rest and concentrate solely on myself - not so easy with a baby!
ОтветитьMissed you Anna!!
ОтветитьIt's so great to have you back, Anna! I'm 32 weeks into pregnancy with baby 2 and after baby 1, I really did go back to running - never managed to be as fast as I once was but did some really decent mountain runs before pregnancy 2 started! My main problem was - and remains - the mum guilt factor, and this only gets worse when you have a very possessive 3-year-old who quite literally attacks his dad whenever I try to go for a bit of 'me time'. Dad is an absolute saint through it all but it's hard to be the meanie and say 'no, mummy needs her exercise or she'll be a raging dragon' and the feel-good endorphins from the run itself are definitely a bit dampened by this. Any tips for managing that side of it from Anna or anyone much appreciated!
ОтветитьI donated a kidney in May 2024, which has been described to me as similar type of surgery to a c-section (don’t have kids so can’t compare!)
I think I have been very lucky in my recovery, I started running again about 5 weeks post surgery, did a 50 mile trail ultra in October with no issues and I am currently working with a coach to get my pace back up for a spring marathon. Lots of ultras planned for next year too!
I love the Idea of a ‘post baby pb’, im quit nerves about losing fitness after a baby
ОтветитьI love the idea of post baby PBs.❤
ОтветитьLovely, just lovely x
ОтветитьGreat to see Anna back on TRC!
ОтветитьAnna! You’re back! ❤️
ОтветитьSo happy to see you back. I’ve been looking forward to this video!
I tend to run with a big smile, and can really relate to that feeling of joy when you can do the first run after not being able to for any reason. I try to remember that feeling when running gets hard, to appreciate being able to run
Congratulations, Anna on your baby! I hope being a mum has been a blessing. I Know there are challenges along with lots of smiles and milestones. These days are so precious as they go quicker than it seems right now.
I know what it feels like to have an emergency c-section. A lot of mums feel like our bodies feel foreign. It will take time to adjust.
Congratulations.
I went from an avid walker, but never a runner, to incorporating running post-partum.
I started walking, then picking a point to run to, then walking again. A lot more walking than running initially.
I lost 25 kg in the first year or so, and then went on to run a 5 K event, followed by a 10 K event.
My child is now 18 years old, but I still enjoy running.
What a queen our Anna is. <3
ОтветитьCongratulations on your lovely baby girl!! And welcome back. You will soon be back to running longer and stronger!! 🌻
ОтветитьLove you Hannah keep up the good work 😊
ОтветитьAnna looks absolutely sexy to me. I’m also into naturally thick women
