Weird seeing it without snow
ОтветитьThere's something about the scale of 1.0 that really makes you feel you're in a massive connected world. The landscape is huge. It reminds me of trekking for miles in FFXI to get through a zone.
ОтветитьIt was so green. I can't get over that.
Ответитьgoot
ОтветитьIshgard is what conservative Brexitland is today. They will be in charge for 1000 years and deny they were responsible for leaving the EU. Until someone steps up and brings forth the truth.
ОтветитьRemember: the best way to get into Ishgard was to become a wanted International criminal
ОтветитьThis is beautiful <3 Thank you
ОтветитьI thought you were gonna have like, beta maps of the 1.0 Ishgard city or something
Ответитьmen one thing i really like in 1.0 is just how vast things feel that takes you out of the experience in 2.0 and on since the world feel so small and fake
ОтветитьIt's Home, and soon to be our place of residence. Nice Video and the feels man, right in ASMR
Ответить4 yrs but it was worth it, HW is loved by many if not everyone
ОтветитьWas the Coerthas region released later in time as an update? It's not part of a mission right?
ОтветитьBeautiful video. You truly did justice to the mystery of Ishgard. There was something about that looming structure that just made you want to know what exactly was going on there, Heavensward did it great justice, my second favorite expansion behind Shadowbringers. Thank you for creating this and taking us all back to that time before the gates opened.
ОтветитьGoing to Ishgard in HW was such a big deal for me because I was dying to go there since 1.0. Everyone was. Like, wtf is in there?! LET ME IN.
ОтветитьI miss 1.0 sooo much /cry
Ответитьfor all its fault, ff1.0 maps are really something else
ОтветитьMan I think I can understand why you don't do this content anymore because of the time it took vs the views, but I was so entrenched with the old 1.0 lore and how it is possibly all gonna tie into the end of this epic in endwalker, that I just wish you could have continued with these and that it was viable.
ОтветитьInterestingly now we know there were meant to be 6 starting cities, and as of 6.0 we'll have ALMOST all of them..... cant spell Ala Mhigost without almost
ОтветитьQuestion: where do you get your 1.0 footage? Do you have a cracked version of 1.0 or did you actually record all this in the 1.0 era?
ОтветитьThough Ishgard is cold, her people are warm! They welcomed us when they heard our plight! They allowed us to take shelter and in return we helped end the Dragonsong war.
ОтветитьI love this video
I am one of the few players that actually liked FF14 1.0. Maybe because I played FF11 so much and never liked WoW or Everquest 2.
This hits different upon the revelation that the original plan in 1.0 was to have 6, not 3, city-states: The three we have, Ishgard, Ala Mhigo, and Old Sharlayan.
YoshiP said that Thank God be didn’t have to make 6 starting questlines
Just now found this video. I've done this. I was with 1.0 when it launched, and I ran and found Ishgard the same way, I really wanted to know what that was going to be, and I even have a screenshot form back then of my character standing on almost the exact same hillside. I was SOOOOOOO excited to finally cross the gates into the city proper all those years later. Even today,, Ishgard feels special, even now after all this time.
ОтветитьI really wish I was around for 1.0... It looks like I would have enjoyed it more, just the story and look of the game at least.
ОтветитьI so miss 1.0
ОтветитьAre you able to somehow get through the gates? I so wish to see ishgard 1.0.............
I don't know how you manage to pass through dungeons that were locked out
Surely you can do it with ishgard? Ishgardians know how to quarantine.
This video was quite nostalgic, honestly it made me kind of sad. I do miss FFXIV 1.0, although if it had never been remade, I don't think it would still be running. Still, I like to dream of a world where they just kept patching the original version. I thought it was fun, at least it was by the end of service.
ОтветитьWow, this just came out of my feed out of nowhere but it was surprise in terms of the differences between 1.0 and 2.0. Was the story any different from when you start as a new player?
In any case, there were tears on my eyes because of Ishgard here. I don't know why but Ishgard felt like more my home than it was for the other city-states, ingame-wise.
Coerthas....with greenery. That's nice.
ОтветитьI went through my own similar experience, although I never got the 1.0 time everyone else did.
I started in the final days of the Starlight 2014 event, only six short months before Heavensward would release. But in that time, before June of 2015, I had my own little adventure of discovery regarding Coerthas. At some point I began wondering what these Cascadier Vouchers were for, and the only information I was able to gain was that they were exchanged in a place called Mor Dhona for a swimsuit. All I could learn of the geography was that Mor Dhona was north of the Shroud.
So I set off, an Archer barely into her Level 20s, to go exploring. I snuck by banemites, snuck by bombs, got lost in the western area of North Shroud, and finally found the entryway into what I thought would be Mor Dhona.
Instead, I discovered Coerthas Central Highlands. With a blizzard making it impossible to see, wind biting my face, and the choir and organ of the day theme Fealty kicking in, chills ran down my spine. I knew immediately I was in an endgame area, and with the snows being kicked up and a map with no data I had no idea where I was or where I needed to go. So I did the only thing I could do: move forward.
As I followed the path past the Observatorium and up Haldrath's March, the blizzard began to clear and I could see it clearly: Camp Dragonhead. Having been attacked by gators and goobbues on my way through, it was a welcome sight. Unfortunately, after attuning to the aetheyte and going even further north, I found myself at a dead end near the remains of the Steel Vigil. But after going up the cliff west of the Vigil, a beautiful sight came into view that I won't ever forget: Ishgard.
It made learning that I could have taken an immediate left at the Shroud - Coerthas entrace to reach Mor Dhona more than worth it. I wish I'd had the presence of mind to take a screenshot to commemorate the moment, because it's one of my favorite memories of my early days.
I did not play 1.0 long, but I had a similar experience finding Ishgard.
ОтветитьThe zone is 100% differently then ARR, idk what you mean they are the same
ОтветитьThis was a beautiful video to watch. So informative and almost felt like a documentary ^^
ОтветитьTo this day, I still hope that maybe one day coerthas will thaw and reveal my once favorite area in the game again. :/ I miss the green hills, the trees, the creeks around Camp Riversmeet, the giant lakes, the windmills... No area was changed (and imo ruined) as much as Coerthas. Mor Dhona kinda comes second, but that place was hell anyway.
How do you go from the prettiest zone in 1.0 to just a white wasteland less than 1/5th the size? :(
Now we wait to buy some land for housing in the firmament.
Ответитьi was super excited to get to ishgard. i was also really sick of running around with the crystal braves and could not wait for a change of pace.
ОтветитьIts so wierd not seeing Coerthas in Ice and Snow. Sort of reminds me of Rolanberry Fields prior to entering Jeuno.
ОтветитьFantastic !
ОтветитьAs much as I would like HW, being a PLD main during that era has been a very painful ordeal.
Ответитьi love beong able to see 1.0
thanks for these vids
I fiercely love the lore of this game, especially when it comes to my favourite place, Ishgard. That you are able to show us and tell us the tale of 1.0 Ishgard and coerthas makes me so happy since I was not there to see it. I especially love seeing the before and after of the calamity; when you read the FATEs and MSQ and all the extras along the way you can see the impact of a world forever changed by snow, and the strong residents who persisted through it all. So it’s very elucidating to see what it was before the change. Thank you so much for this video ❤️
ОтветитьSubbed
Ответитьback in 1.0 the sentence "Throw wide the gates" meant something else entirely.
ОтветитьIshgaard is still my favorite city, the atmosphere and music is just, perfect.
ОтветитьI really miss green Coerthas. Covering everything in white kinda just took out the appeal for me
ОтветитьYou see
The canon one is the one you see!
:"^^^^^^^
As of 5.3, the Steps of Faith can be accessed via flight while in the Central Highlands. Central Highlands map was also updated. It still doesn’t feel like the Arc of the Worthy is far away, though.
ОтветитьWhen you mentioned the Dragoon quest line in 1.x, it got me wondering what all of those job quests looked like back then...
Ответить" Ishgard remembers , warrior of light. "
ОтветитьI teared up at the end 😢.
