It crazy how much this gun has been blowing up. Went into gun shops a bit ago and every store associate had nothing but shit talk on this gun so, didn't get one.

Had the Delta M for nearly a year and absolutely love it. I'm surprised that it doesn't get more love than it does. I've added the Holoson 407K and the pairing just works great for me. Really liked your review.

I 100% agree with you about the grip and liking this over the Glock. I'm issued a Glock for work and shoot it very well. That said, I've never been crazy about how I have to hold the Glock to make good shots. With the AREX or M&P or just about every other pistol, my hand seems to just accept the pistol without having to make much of a conscious adjustment.

Good review of a great and affordable pistol! Now shut up and stop talking about them or they will become popular and then expensive.

Seems like Shadow Systems and Bul sort of de-pantsed Glock on what a Glock should be in the modern era. This is a cool gun but I’d rather save the money back on the holsters and accessories since SS takes Glock parts and holsters

I really really wish they made the delta 2 in a S&W shield size. With their same design philosophy it could weigh something like 12-15 ounces. Bonus points if the trigger pack would swap to it as well, but I understand making us buy another firearm to justify the R&D costs.

Pretty crazy to think that this 15+1 round 9mm is Glock 19 sized and weighs a hair more than a Gen 2 S&W shield subcompact which only holds 7+1. That's what it looks like when a company is actually trying to make something competitive.

...your review is lacking....if you compare it to a glock then do a side by side disasembly so we can see if it is as easy to take apart and maintain and as robust as a glock....a lot of us are CCW only and give a rats azz about silly pistol games.

Personally, for me, I choose the Arex Delta L Gen 2 with a 4.5" (17+1 & 20+1) over a Glock 17 or 19. MecGar P226 magazines are compatible with the Arex Delta at fair prices (lower than original Sig). The Arex Delta is pleasant to shoot due to its great ergonomics. It's very accurate and reliable (as far as my own experience is concerned).
Glock hasn't evolved much. Hence, I am satisfied with my more modern Arex Delta and wouldn't trade it for a Glock.

I have two of them and love the Delta Gen II. Shoots great and I’ve had no failures of any kind with over 1000 round through one of them so far. The mag release does losses up in time. The only change I made was adding calculated kinetics red dot mounting plates to both for better durability for my red dots. It is my EDC most of the time now. Some Glock 19 holsters fit the Delta but not all.

Yep. Its a tweener. In that spot between the 43x/48, and the g19. Easy to carry the arex all day too. Arex is a great pistol. That said, for lack of the aftermarket support, its not a pistol to build an arsenal off of. Its a "i have one of those", vs "i have some of those (g19)".

I have a Delta M as my EDC. I have found it to be a good shooter, but also occasionally a picky eater. Specifically on longer loaded or flatter nosed 124 grain. The rounds catch on the mag catch inside the magazine and the momentary loss of tension is sometimes enough to choke up the gun. Also do love the fact that it's a modular pistol, AKA you can change the grip out if you want to. At present though, due in part to the slightly picky eater thing, I'm considering changing it up for an m&p 2.0

I personally own the Delta-L and compared to the G17 there are only two major downsides
1) The magazine release is quite stiff, so magazine changes can be a challenge especially if you are dropping a full magazine
2) Magazines are more expensive than glock mags (though they are not the most expensive propriety magazines I've encountered).

Other than that, there are actually some ways that, IMO, this gun is actually better than a G17
1) The grip is noticeably thinner which makes the gun easier to shoot
2) the trigger on a Delta is noticeably better than a stock Glock trigger.

*EDIT* Interesting to find that your pros and cons were more or less exactly the same as mine. And I, too, shoot my Arex much better than my Glock.

Aaaaaand, the Delta M is a chassis system with interchangable grips. Not as easy as a Sig, and no aftermarket suport, but you can mix and match with Arex grips affordably. So sad the company is no longer Slovenian, they were bought out by a Czech company.

Delta's like to run clean. You'll get malfunctions if you don't clean them. Armanov makes really cool base pads for the mags. I got the EDC with the carbide tip. I also purchased a Galloway Precision spring, there's a plastic part in the OEM spring. Never had an issue with the OEM spring, I just felt like changing it. Battle Gnome Solutions makes cool holsters for them as well. Deltas also prefer 124gr. It'll handle +P all day, steel all day, but with 115gr I've had issues. I would like to mention, that this is my first rig, so a lot of the issues I've had were most likely user errors. Cool carry gun, snappy, but fun to take to the range. 10/10 would recommend

I got a Delta M fairly early on, I still like mine. I agree, it feels better in the hand than a Glock. Trigger is better than a glock. If you put a light on it, it'll fit in glock 19/17 holsters. I have the tactical model with threaded barrel and higher sights.

My only problem is it doesn't like NovX or Inceptor ammo. It chokes on it.

The theme here should be some consistent common set of features that works for competitive shooting if you shoot a bunch of different platforms/classes. That’s not something I’ve seen yet.

My EDC for the part 2 years. Underrated and under-appreciated until you live with it. Mag release broke in after a week of fidling and dry fire. Mine has a 507k, TLR-7a in an ANR. 17 round mags add capacity with very little length. CZ P-07/10 mags work. Full ambi just in case and you can thumb the striker kind of like a hammer when reholstering. Very thin too.

I've had one for a few years now. Eats everything, fits in my glock 19 holsters, sold my glock 45 to keep it, thinner grip, better texture. I have had a roll pin walk out every now and then, but I tap it right back in. I think mine was well under 400

Majority of reviews said snappy but controllable. I (medium sized glove hands) found it ridiculously controllable and not all that snappy (with 115 fmj - only a marginal difference with 124 fmj). I found the G19 to be leaps and bounds snappier ran with both ammos. (not sure if its my lack of time behind glocks)
Basically, IMO, the Delta M was far and away a more pleasurable gun to shoot - almost as much as the S&W M2.0 9mm compact 4".

The L mags fit in it and there is a maker in thingyverse that makes a spacer for them so they meet pretty flush. I had to get them, because there is no 10 round Delta L magazine.
Also AnR out of New Hampshire has ready to go holsters for each model.

This is 1 of 2 striker guns I have. The rest are hammer fired

ANR Design makes very good holsters for the Arex Delta, and light bearing options too. I own the L and the M and have had zero issues with either pistol. I like the thin grip and light weight of the M as a carry gun. I prefer to shoot my CZ P10c, better trigger and softer recoil, but prefer to carry my Delta M. And yes the CZ P10 mags work in the Arex but not vice versa.

Good news!! The Delta series can use CZ P10C/F mags. The baseplate is the only difference. They are great shooters and it falls right between a G48 and G19 in width which makes it a damn near perfect carry piece. I know someone mentioned the mag release, and it made a huge difference. It was a major PITA to change. It is easier to switch grip modules than it is to swap the release. All in all, it is better than many of the Glopies out there, but I still prefer the P10C.
