how often should i replace my humidification device? I have a "starter" humidor and it doesnt have a hydrometer
ОтветитьIt's important to have a way of measuring the humidity inside your box to make sure you're close to 70% relative humidity. So You may want to buy a hygrometer (digital or analog, analog may need calibration before first use). Once you know the level of humidity in the humidor you may add more PG solution to your humidifier in case the humidity is low or remove the humidifier if it's too high. Humidification device normally last long if properly maintained.
ОтветитьI have a digital humidifier, ( I'm new to All this ) and it has a switch with c or f on it what do I flick it too. And I take it you go by percent on the digital ones as regards to the humidity. Thanks
ОтветитьYes, relative humidity is measured in % and it should be between 65 and 75 %. c or f means celcius vs Farenheit. So choose the unit you want to read the temperatures in.
ОтветитьBrilliant thanks for getting back so quick.. Cheers again
Ответить@zblog68 'Celsius or Farenheit'. Digitals have thermometers too. Keep it 70/70.
ОтветитьCan someone please help me. I been trying to keep my cigar humidor in between 65 and 73% humidity for about a month now, and my humidity keeps dropping!! I seasoned the humidor, left the spong in for about 24 hours and the humidity still dropped. I also bought 69% boveda humidity packs and it just seen like nothing is working. could it be the location of the humidor?? could it be that I didn't season it corretly??? can I season the humidor again without damaging the cedar? any suggestions? please someone help.
Ответитьwhat about if where I live humidity is above 70%? cigars have been tasting pretty bad for that reason
ОтветитьThank you 😊
