Is it this easy to do on a VStrom 650? Wind it up to 5k ?
ОтветитьWhat I would like to do on my adventure bike I’d love to own one
First of all, and then will go from there
That was great instructions. Thanks for that. It will help me a lot.
Keep doing what you love 🍻👌
Thank you for this lesson. I really appreciate it
ОтветитьHi Chris good day I need to learn how to wheelie m interested in motor bikes to learn a lot of skills
ОтветитьTerrific stuff, fabulous pedagogy, thank you very much, off to put all this into practice on my XChallenge Beemer !
ОтветитьI like the bike!
ОтветитьInteresting point about the clutch, I have never really used it after the initial lift especially on the 1290, I feel like the throttle is smooth enough for good control with throttle alone, and if you go too far and for some reason you fail to get at your rear brake, you still have engine braking to bring you back down, which on these bikes is substantial. I feel if you pull the clutch in when just trying to do moderate length wheelies you lose that engine braking do you not? How do the 2 methods compare benefits and downsides of each? I get clutch will be smoother but surely that only really comes in at lower speeds and very high wheelies, like very near or past balance point, whereas just to get a decent lift but not quite at balance point that's not really needed is it?
ОтветитьRegular cab standard bed.
ОтветитьGreat vid! Thanks.
ОтветитьBest way to do it is to learn it on a bycikle firs.
This way you get confortable with the ballance point much faster.
Have to say, I went from dort bikes in the 80s, to mountain bikes in the 90s/00s, to not riding at all in the 10s, to getting back on a motorcycle in early 2020 and now pushing myself offroad again on an Africa twin.
I saw this video maybe 2 years ago and got the series from your site. It is a very detailed and in-depth tutorial on pretty much most aspects of bike bike ADV. Its helped me a lot as ADV bikes are nothing like MX or enduro bikes when it comes to technique and approach.
Cheers for taking the time to put this together. I think the only better experience would be a one on one session with constructive criticism!
Ive listened to and watched many conflicting instructional videos on ADV bikes. They all make valid points, but from different view points, or expectations from a riders approach. Most are kind of aimed at beginners who want to plod along, or just general safety, where I find your info more aimed at a beginner who wants to push personal limits into something more serious.
Just barely started trying myself. But I am nowhere near this. All I ever felt was: "How am I supposed to hold on to the handle bars?" - the tug feels SUPER heavy. On a 1999 XL600V TransAlp. Any tips?
ОтветитьGreat video.Really useful tips.Thank You
ОтветитьGreat explanation. Hopefully I'll be ready in time to show off to me mates tomorrow
ОтветитьGreat vid. Thanks
Ответитьamazing
ОтветитьWhat about safe exit from the wheelie‽
ОтветитьSo nice, enjoy the nature and fuck it up on a motorcycle
ОтветитьYour adventure bike series is outstanding Chris. Just a couple of suggestions, would love some of your tips on river crossings and riding rocky sections of trail on the big bikes ( if the opportunity comes up to make more episodes). Still struggling with the wheelies though 😅 think it’s a confidence thing . Cheers bro 🤙🏻
ОтветитьGood my chinrse KTM but i still need a lot of practice dropped in the mud few days ago but was able to lift it alone haha it's fun but kinda scary yet, coming from a ninja 400😅
ОтветитьThank you sir for your Love care and daring to be the best rider
ОтветитьOlá parabéns pelo vídeo top 🇧🇷⛓️
ОтветитьMy man Chris, I’ve watched this video so much when I had my Vstrom 650, although been riding since birth here. I’ve now gotten a Tiger 900 Rally, so all I’ve got to do is add throttle, and the front wheel comes up. My question is this, and of course for me to do that on fort or grass with my Motoz Tractionators I’d to be in off road mode. I literally just figured out that I can swivel my rear brake pedal to make it higher or lower. 🤷♂️ who knew!! Anyways! Much respect. You are a legend!!
ОтветитьWorld-class video!
ОтветитьGreat Video! When and where do you provide training?
ОтветитьTem que colocar para traduzir por favor abraço aí Att Alfredo Nogues
ОтветитьMe with no bike, no bitches, and no skill jumping in my living room making sure the spring goes through my ankles
ОтветитьOpen to anyone's response..... Does traction control need to be off to wheelie an 890r effectively?
ОтветитьMuchas gracias! buena y útil información!!!!
ОтветитьChris, you did not tell us how to properly finish your wheeelie!
I usually finish mine on my back!
This video is wonderful. Thanks Chris 🍻
ОтветитьFront tires must last FOREVER.
ОтветитьNaughty
ОтветитьWow!!! Fantastic video! I practiced a little bit and can lift the front wheel a little bit but I got to much wheel spin. I have a 2021 890R and wonder what is the best setup to do wheelies on that bike and on what gear? I tried in rally mode, slip 1 and 5 in 1rst gear. Is is better to use 2nd gear? Is rally mode is too powerfull?
ОтветитьChris, I feel like I have mine own personal instructor with your videos. Absolutely loved this video, as I am trying to learn more and more on my new 23 KTM 890 Adventure R, which I just love. Your teaching skills are excellent in how you break down the specific moves necessary to accomplish the set goal. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these.
ОтветитьExcellent explanation and great training exercises to ease into launching a big boy!
ОтветитьGreat video as always 👌 ruts are my Achilles heal. I’ve dropped the bike a couple of times due to dropping in to ruts bike goes one way and I go the other! Now when I see ruts I sit down ready to put my legs out. Not ideal I know but it’s knocked my confidence. What’s the best way around this? Cheers, Wayne.
ОтветитьHow do you avoid. from over flipping, going totally back with both wheels facing the sky and seat on the ground with you sanwitched !
ОтветитьTY FOR content
Ответитьvery impressive
ОтветитьWith traction control on my bike I have to remember to disable it every time I stop start when off the black stuff. I’ve heard talk of a ‘dongle? That can be fitted to sort this out. (2016 Africa Twin)
ОтветитьHere's some advice, dont buy an adventure bike if you can't ride a wheelie.
ОтветитьPlease say your name clearly😁😁😁
ОтветитьI'm gonna tell people I know how to do wheelies. I can't do them, but I know HOW to do them ;)
ОтветитьOutstanding video, I’m hooked! Thank you so much!!!
ОтветитьHeros like you toy those .. 😎
ОтветитьSuch a great teacher, when the video was released it had me doing controled wheelies with confidence the next day on my BMW GSA, but found it again yesterday and a successfully whieelief my KLR - first time in my almost 50,000 miles of riding it. Now going to practice and find a friend to get a picture, no one will believe it, I didn't
Bucket list, one day be one of the few hundred he teaches a year
Ahhhhhh, that is so freakin' cool! Now, if I can just make it work! lol
