Loved Fields of Mistria, though I think I'll wait until full release to play it again. One thing I wasn't particularly fond of was that wood was less abundant compared to stone.
Haven't finished Magical Delicacy yet, I think I was nearing the end? I had a fun time for the most part, the soundtrack, art style, and UI design were my favorite parts. Though I do agree about your grievances. Some of the new additions from the updates were nice, though I'm not sure whether or not I'll start a new save or not.
Magical delicacy is def hit or miss for people
I loved rolling hills 😭
this video is the exact reason why i'm so picky with cozy games. so many are done so poorly, with your average farming, running a shop, or what not. i wish more cozy games added a unique twist to the genre like horror, supernatural sci-fi, or other stuff. what i would love is a cozy doctor game. as someone who's gonna study medicine and become a med student, a cozy game about being a doctor would be EVERYTHING to me. or a cozy equestrian game ugh.
ОтветитьPicked up Duck Detective on the recent Steam sale. Such a great game. Loved the characters and really looking forward to the next one.
ОтветитьFields of Mistria will always live rent free in my head
ОтветитьI sank over 40 hours in Magical Delicacy, I thought it was so much fun lol but it can be a bit confusing so i get why some people might not enjoy it
ОтветитьI'm so torn as to whether or not to buy Magical Delicacy :') Best of 2024 - Powerwash Simulator, Supermarket Simulator and Chef RPG! Excited to get into Fields of Mistria now that I'm done with Chef RPG storyline
ОтветитьThe biggest disappointment for me in 2024 was the Switch release of Sun Haven. It's a brilliant game WHEN you can actually play it. It crashed constantly for me and between Pixel Sprout and Nintendo it took over a month to release a patch. That fixed the crashing but introduced a whole lot of new bugs. So disappointing.
ОтветитьThe cozy game I kept returning to this year was Été! I loved the fluid transformative gameplay of filling the town with color, such a chill time and was the only game I started an additional save file to play more of 💜 my other games of the year weren’t specifically cozy lol but I have loved my time with Astro Bot and Hades 2 as well 💕
ОтветитьInformative video as always Ellie! Thank you.
My favourite short cosy game of 2024 is also Minami Lane! It was just so lovely and relaxing to play it, and I agree with u, it definitely is more like puzzle to figure out what residents love from the shop, than a management because management is about u managing money and resources, and I don't feel that in Minami Lane.
My favourite long cosy game of 2024 is Stardew 1.6 update!
I have Fields of Mistria but not played it yet, waiting for full contents to come out so I can enjoy it fully in the future.
I don't really have a disappointing game, I just didn't enjoy a few, like TCG Card Shop Simulator, purely because I didn't enjoy the gameplay loop of it, that's all, but I'm so glad to hear that u're absolutely loving it. I also didn't enjoy the demo of Go Go Town, it's not the game for me personally. The demo of Aloft got me really confused and lost, I didn't know what to do so I definitely like games that lend u a hand! I have bought Chill Town on launch as well, not played it, it was 2 weeks later too late when I found out the dramas behind the former devs and the content creators, which didn't sit well for me. So I haven't touched it since, will wait and see what the devs does to it to improve it maybe?
I'm glad I didn't buy Garden Witch game, I played the demo and thought it was cute but felt it was missing something.
2025 is gonna be exciting because we have some of the new sub-genre of cosy games coming out, Grimshire, Grave Seasons, few new museum games for examples! I can't wait to see your future monthly reviews of the new cosy games this year. Hope you're keeping well Ellie and have a good Sunday!
Good video love fields of mistra
ОтветитьI love the honesty in this review!
I didn't play any of these games, only heard of some of them but I'll keep them in mind.
