I use Outlook. Even though it says, in the header, the email address is not authorised for use on that domain, it still presents it. It should be deleted automatically. And if there is no senders address, why does it still allow it through. Again, it should be automatically deleted as non valid. Time the likes of Microsoft got on board. Funny enough, I also pay for my own domain email address. In 17 years i have yet to have even one fake email come through. Says all. MS must thrive on spam.

i usualy spot a fake email by it saying your amazon account is blocked when i dont have a Amazon account or youve won 1 MILLION on the lottery you didnt enter or let me put this 5 Million in you bank for safe keeping .

I always opt out of email and SMS notifications under 'Communication Preferences' for any company I have an account with, relying instead on the official app for notifications whenever possible.
This helps reduce clutter and makes managing my emails easier. Even for emails from official companies, I avoid clicking on links and go directly to their website instead. The only exceptions are password resets or transactions I initiate that require a response via email or SMS.

For the people that feel this video was too complex, I remind you that there is a pause button and you can always repeat it and take it in smaller doses.

The email providers want to get on top of this as no one has time to take every precaution. While this is a good and useful video I think I will go back to using a quill pen.

Why can’t gmail/hotmail detect where the actual address doesn’t match the displayed address, and at least warn?

wayyyy to much blabbering. You need to relearn to talk. Also prepare what you are going to say to make concise clear sentences and pause 2 seconds between each sentence. The useful information should fit in 5 minutes not 1/2 hour ! Your style of speech is diarrhea common to a lot of snowflakes and millennial. Zero filtering between your brain and your mouth, just unending brittle, unstructured, molass flow spewing out. It's like speaking from the front end of the digestive system.

I mean the easiest way to see the reply to address is to simply click reply as if you were going to respond and then when the draft populates the fields you can look into field to see where it is pointed. Just don’t actually send the message…

When in doubt throw it out…

If I ever have doubts about an email I receive and it’s not one I can just throw out for one of the mentioned reasons, what I will do is manually type the company’s website address into a fresh browser and get their contact info from their known good site and contact the company that way.

I also did have a lawyer that I deal with. Send me a message that said hey I have a file you need to see. I'm attaching it to your Google documents, I opened it up and there was no document in there. I guess Google deleted it. Then I called that lawyer and they said their computer got hacked and it sent emails out to everybody, the next thing that happened was I got an alert 2 days later from Google showing a pinpoint in Florida and a pinpoint in California that somebody was trying to sign into my account, all I had to do really is basically just change my passwords, but it does prove you need to call somebody if they suddenly say they'd sent you a file and find that if it's legitimate

Great, in depth and important information, but at this point I think it's just easier to say "The sender details can be completly faked and there's not really anyway of knowing, so just don't trust any sender."

I've received a black mail email wanting me to transfer to a crypto account. Thing is, it had my exact email, as fsr as i could see. It did go to spam mail.. i have 2 step verification, but still.. how the heck did they forge that?? I tried unicode and it was all good too. The extent these fkers go to try to rob you is insane.
