Hypocrisy? It sounds very calm, peaceful, and benign when you only talk about the positives about a country, in this case, Malta. I disagree with your guest when he says Malta tries to be neutral because that is absolutely not true. He talks about the proximity to the African continent, and therefore the importance of Malta to have sensitivity towards Africa because of their close proximity. He conveniently overlooks the very close proximity to Gaza and did not mention that the flotilla within the last week carrying food and supplies for the Palestinians was blocked by both Malta and Israel. Can he give an explanation for that? Or is all very nice and rosy and peaceful and neutral?

Love the channel 🎉. If you're a small country with resources or geographic or strategic importance you will be used and your country will be controlled by a bigger (in population) country. I live in Scotland and we know how the story goes! Being controlled by more powerful countries almost always makes the vassal country's citizens feel like second-class citizens especially when their country has been press-ganged into an unequal and unfavourable 'Union'.
