Council is a fight that can really be cheesed for DPS. It's not a good fight for comparison purposes, in my opinion. If the #1 guy has a raid that stacks bosses, he could be cleaving a ton doing pointless damage that doesn't matter. If your buddy is doing strictly single target damage, he's going to be lower, for sure.

And you just mentioned this as I'm typing. 😊

I would probably not look at Council for this just because the fight can be really different by just killing the bosses in different orders ^^

Great video, but I had a note on the council fight. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that the cleave damage you deal to bosses that heal back to full health is factored out of your overall damage, so there is actually no “padding”. Using chain lightning is still more effective than using lightning bolt when it hits more than 1 target because, like you said, it reduces your crash lightning cool down, which can proc stormstrike and interacts with doom winds and so on. Hope that helps clear things up :)

I wish they got rid of damn RNG with SS procs. Return 2 charges for stormstrike like in WoD, problem solved. Our biggest issue is that our dmg is coming from so many sources which makes it a pain to balance. Not that blizz is good at balancing anything...

Chain Lightning does not improve your parse on Council. It is the first thing in the log: "Non-tank damage to any bosses that heal to full is EXCLUDED IN THE TABLE BELOW" (emphasis added).

As one of the few Kyrian enh shamans out there, how would the vesper totem best fit into an opening? If someone pops hero at start, I feel like I'm losing multiple seconds dropping totems, using trinkets, applying buffs, before I can eg pop ascendance and start doing actual damage. I also don't want to use cooldowns too soon, to maximize on their uptime.

Great video, I just wonder why the opening is FS->wolves->Storm->Acend->Doom->Doom rotation. Would wolves not be better to use when doom wind goes on cd, to avoid over capping mealstrom?

Ehna shammy is my main for years. But one thing in Shadowland i hate most is that we need do take Venthyr as the best covenant choice. I really dont want to be vampire shaman, it does not make sense at all :/

Funny you said vers is the pvp setup when vers has been sim higher the hole time, crit is close. Another funny thing for me is that haste up until I broke the 200 ilvl was the worst stat. Weird how it all comes together.

NEVER Hard cast, everything should be instant unless you are clutch healing yourself or someone else.
