People who think Ozymandias is evil are missing the point. We are shown that Ozymandias tried several solutions to avoid nuclear war before thinking of committing these atrocities unfortunately it was always a failure. Let's be honest in this case there is no other alternative in the long term. Ozymandias does not kill these millions of innocent people for himself, he does it because it is the only solution to save the planet. While Rorcharch and Nite Owl were busy destroying low-level criminals Ozymandias devoted his life to find a way to save the world. If today is the eve of a nuclear world war and no one else has a better solution, would you choose to kill these innocent people or let the world burn?

Dr manhattan energy bomb makes more sense than alien squid

The conceit that the whole Cold War was just some big misunderstanding, or that both sides were at fault, when the simple fact was that the Russian rulers wanted the whole world, and had chumps in every country ready to help them. If you were willing to kill millions to save billions, all it would have taken is Moscow and Beijing.

What I don’t understand is why would someone threaten the whole world just to win an argument about who is stronger and smarter. The lengths humans would go to prove themselves. Some people would actually end all humanity.

Great movie. If it was released today, it would be an absolute killer. We werent ready for the depth of plot involved in this movie when it was released.

the only flaw in this plan is, since Manhattan is American, why would the soviets upon realizing it was him, not immediately assume Americans had attacked and thus launched their nukes?
