As your pseudo advisor, I'm advising you to NOT sell or give away any more of your basses! From now on, you should only be taking in basses, not handing them out.
You do indeed have some exceptional basses. Hold On To Them! You'll thank me, some day, maybe.

sell the 4 string Fenders ... nobody needs that kind of bass ... they were cool in the 70s, but that was then

That 74 Jazz is probably a 75 transition year bass, it has the chrome bullet truss rod adjuster for a a 75-76 but it has the older style headstock decal.

😢😢 One of the great tragedies of Bass history, is how briefly both the WAL and the Kubicki Factor Basses were in production.
Of all the basses out there that just get made forever, all the while being utterly forgettable in tone and performance, and these two absolute marvels saw only a tiny fraction of the life they DESERVE… sad.

🦶Footnote: While I’ve never even played a WAL. I can say I DID get to play the Kubicki Factor bass.
My good mate at the time from high school was none other than Christopher Bruce, and he had socked up the money to finally get a really good bass and fancied the Kubicki. I remember we had to drive a long way to find a shop that had one. (I know because I was the one driving 😆.) When we finally got to the shop late in the evening it was near closing time and they only had two. One in black, and the other in that “hospital” light mint green. While I really wanted to see Chris hold out for a red one, he opted to take the weird looking green one and just be done with it.

When we got it home to my little studio, not only did we quickly realize that the Factor WAS indeed everything it was made out to be- pure genius of an instrument, but that based on the serial number (and a few signs of wear despite being sold as “new”) that THIS instrument was almost definitely the one from the sales brochure. The OG Kubicki “Hospital Mint Green Bass” as it were. We thought that was pretty darn cool!
To this day, that remains my one true “brush with Bass Guitar greatness”.
Christopher Bruce went on to play for SEAL, Wendy and Lisa’s touring band, and about a thousand other studio and touring credits including David Sanborn.
It’s so nice to see both of these truly legendary Basses here, getting the love they so richly deserve.
🤘😎🤘

I was looking for a fretless bass recently and found a 2019 MIM Fender Jazz for sale for 400 bucks. The guy bought it during covid but never played it. So i decided it wasnt a bad price. It came with a set of Seymour Duncan quarter pound pickups, badass bridge, hipshot tuner, and a hard case. He even gave me the Rumble 25, well worth the 2 hour drive.

Those wondering the shop where he bought the bass from did all the work and the old parts were in the case.

Trying to conjugate the verb “to treat” as “tret” in the introduction video to the “P-Bass of Doom” years ago was the dumbest thing associated with it … until you swapped its neck with the Moollon. Yeesh.

It'a a nice collection, especially the Wal MK1 and Ovation Magnum IV but I'm surprised there is no Alembic, Warwick, Gibson or Stingray in the collection! For me variety is the key as it makes you play differently, I never have more than 1 of the same model/type of bass. I'm guessing Scott is mostly a lover of Fender Precision & Jazz basses and variations of them which is fair enough, they are classics (I have both too, but one of each is enough!)
