Lol delided with a teeth floss and using an iron safest shit i did in my life than delid mate and i did alot of stuff in my life
ОтветитьClearly, the heat spreader solutions they use on today's CPUs aren't particularly good. I remember well when processors didn't have them. It was a bit scary to mount the coolers, but with some shims, it wasn't so bad.
ОтветитьI may have to do this now! i sit around 54c (130F) with liquid cooled and a room AC set to 60F
ОтветитьRoman: has a prototype set up all ready to go perfectly working
Steve and Patrick from the X3D failure video: goes at it with a piece of floss
Out of curiosity, would you see the same sort of results with an X3D chip?
Ответитьdoes anyone know if cpu block will be in production soon because i can't find one in stock anywhere?
ОтветитьI think AMD crippled it on purpose.
ОтветитьI would de lid it then re lid it after putting liquid metal and more liquid metal on the lid
ОтветитьAMD should definitely take note on this... I think they're getting too cocky and they could suffer soon the consequences.
ОтветитьIs there really circuit traces that close the edge of the cpu's pcb. It didn't look like anything vital got hit.
ОтветитьIt's not about Cooler compatibility, they are not gonna reveal to you that they plan on Stacking chips inside.
So they Just made a Thick Lid to Make thinner later when They add more stuff on the Z axis. As Am5 develops like AM4 did. You cant stack Cores because of the Temps, but you can stack Memory or other chiplets depending on their plans.
They created breathing space for themselves for future proofing expansion of the design.
It's a Mechanical engineering trick.
I thought the Ryzen 9 7050X is 16 cores not 12 cores, still 6Ghz is incredible on all cores.
ОтветитьIm curious as to whether or not you have a direct die plate that will support a noctua L9a-AM5 cooler mount kit?
This looks like a good way for me to extend the life of my emulation machine.
By the way Soldering the IHS on the chip by indium is excellent idea, it's a good heat conductor.
ОтветитьMy 13900k runs 5.2 stable at 88c with just a 360 aio and good airflow. Just sayin
ОтветитьI know this is older but hopefully can get an answer from someone, Im wanting to delid and liquid metal my 7800x3d, His direct die mount says not to use on that specific cpu for whatever reason so I guess my question is how to go about reattaching the ihs on that cpu
ОтветитьHow about 5800x3d, or the Ryzen 5 x3d to come, get more kick back on that expensive cutter.
ОтветитьJust bought a 7600x without doing enough research. Gutted about the temps being so high but now I'm excited to try my first delidding.
ОтветитьAMD should just provide a delidded version so that serious enthusiasts can just get on with it.
ОтветитьI must be doing liquid metal wrong, cause I have never had it go on that easy ;-;
ОтветитьThis guy def german
ОтветитьCould, we use a hot air gun to remove the lid? If so, what temperature should I use?
ОтветитьCurious about the possibility of using thermal grizzly kryonaut extreme instead of using conductonaut, cause the cooler I really want to use has an aluminum base plate
Excelente trabajo master.
ОтветитьThis is peak computer engineering. Anyone who studies or studied Computer Science will understand the joy of this.
ОтветитьIn theory - this would work for air coolers also, right?
Ответить20C wow
ОтветитьI want a direct die for my 5600x 😂
ОтветитьDid AMD chose you as their CEO yet?
ОтветитьI have Corsair h100i v2 and in the box am4 bracket and screws so it works on am4. On corsairs site they stated for h100i v2 that it will work on am5. So my question is will ot work?
Ответитьwe get roughly 20 degree drop in temps by delidding and using liquid metal. what additional gains do we get by using direct die cooling? i'm not seeing any.
Ответитьi dont get amd nor intel... why dont they watch these channels and actually use their brains ? to optimize CPU cooling ? since that's the major part in oc etc. thinking logical why could they not use a piece of copper from the inside to direkt contact ? from the cores, or some damn solution
ОтветитьВот гений )
ОтветитьI am deeply impressed.
Ответитьmy laptop cpu is automatically delidded. I can see the die
ОтветитьYour direct die tool sucks btw. I've tried to apply liquid metal with the direct die tool and the temps are horrible.
Ответить한국인 특 저럴 시간에 치실로 뜯음
ОтветитьDoes delid void warranty?
Ответитьis the tool available by now?
ОтветитьWow respekt! Good work dude!
ОтветитьIm curious if a delidded 7950x3d with some undervolting could be cooled by a Noctual L9a
ОтветитьWhen are we going to take the training wheels off and make a water to direct die transfer block, meaning no copper plate just water moving over the bare die. You can test this with 100% IPA so not to damage electronics, obviously running the cooling system with separate power so that the computer isn't powered up.
ОтветитьCan't wait to see this with the 7950x3D
Ответитьim just wondering, is this possible with Asus ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO motherboard and EK-Waterblocks EK-Quantum Momentum² ROG Crosshair X670E Hero D-RGB cpu block? i would todally do that if it is possible?
ОтветитьThe Thermaltake Tough liquid 240mm and 360mm AIO's will work on AM5 Ryzen 7000 series. PC part picker has them listed as non compatible.
ОтветитьDer8auer can you explain to me?
After deliding the 7950x, with the Der8auer kit, the processor saved itself with no problem. But the temperatures are always the same, the cpu touches a Magnitude ekwb with flat coldplate perfectly with the cooling circuit. I do not understand....
You can delid it with dental floss
ОтветитьWhy does that little bit of the corner breaking off that 7700x kill it? Is it that the components on the top connect through there?
Ответить
