rating 2.0 grades your gun only stats quite well. met an enemy that i feel were neck to neck with me, and our rating is the same. so yeah if you only taking gun play into account then 2.0 is perfect

You can get an ace and still lose the round.

I think the successful smokes and enemies flashed say a lot more than kills and should be put into a rating, since it doesn’t count as asssist, and killing doesn’t equal being any good.

Yeah, there’s definitely a bunch of intangibles that go into a winning a match. I once spent an entire half of a match (playing as Terrorists) going the opposite way of my team, throwing tons of grenades (I bought the max every round) firing off a ton of shots, getting one or two kills each round—which earned me some kills, but a lot of deaths. I was just raising such hell all by myself, that my team was able to stream roll the other bomb site and plant every time, because the bulk of their team thought I was more than one guy and had to deal with me. By the time I was dead, it was too late for them to rotate to the other bomb site, and they got picked off by my the rest of my team that had posted up.

That was probably my greatest match, and I wish I had a recording of it, because it was a blast and I was just wrecking the other team so hard by my lonesome. Fun times!

Why Faceit and Esea dont put this ranking system??? i made 30 frags i won the match i take 25 Elo points same as player who make 3 frags in all match. system od Faceit and Esea ELO System is realy bad.

I don't think multikills should be a big factor. Most of the time I don't end up with alot of mvp stars cuz after i get a frag i like to play a more passive style. I do believe impact should be a statistic, this sould be messeared by kills in winning rounds. I have alot of those even if i don't get many team whipes. ADR in winning rounds could also be used.

If you spam "kill" in console in warmup you may eventually end up in your team's spawn instead of those 1v1 arenas (happened on dust2 on CT side).

Hi, i was just Playing MM and something weird happend, i was 1 Hit Killed By a HE Grenade That dealt 176 Dmg Even With Kevlar and Helmet on. I thought it was impossible to Deal Dmg this high With one HE. Do you Maybe know, what Happend?

cool. Will this be implemented into the everyday players competitive experience, so that rankings are more accurate and come when better deserved? I feel the current system is extremely flawed, especially for silver. I remember when I somehow went from s1 to s3, s3 was so so so so so so so so so so much easier and thus much funner than s1. Then I soon got deranked to s1, back in silver hell :/.
I can't be sure if I'm stuck with smurfs, or with the 50% of noobs, or if I'm shit, or if the opponents are great, or if I can't effectively communicate, or if the enemy can.
This is the reason I hate csgo. I don't think I should be trapped in the lowest tier possible and feel I'm playing with extremely skilled players. It's unfair and extremely upsetting, mostly because it means me improving my skills to finally get a better rank is near impossible, as I die super easy because against the elites I'm up against, I'm like a fish out of water.

I find weird that these ratings don’t count defusal or plant, no bonus/multiplayer for a 1vX clutch… in general there are just so many aspects define skill and success as a player, I’d rather people stopped trying to be alchemists and pull one number out of their ass and just show leaderboards of the core gameplay stats, like in team sports. Then analysts can aggregate and we can agree or not.

I’m sure that one’s skill level can be represented by a number but that number would come from very complicated factors that none of the measurements today can cover

This shows how a machine learning approach only approximates the model. But such a result might get a good mse. However it doesn't look correct because it's likely that the real mod uses more data points.

Yep that's it. Dpr is more influencial than Kpr and that make players like karrigan look bad. I watched many games of Mousesports where Karrigan is the real hero of the game with his great plays that create so much space for the team and he usually gets a kill or two doing that before dying. But when you check the ratings after the game it's like
Ropz: 23/17, 80 adr 1.20 rating
Karrigan: 25/26, 95 adr 1.08 rating
