ОтветитьThere are a lot of U.S. Americans saying that nobody calls sweet potatoes "yams", but I live in Ontario, Canada, and I swear a notable amount of people call them that even though it's incorrect.
ОтветитьIm ngl i think that wailord was a sideways wubbofett (idk how to spell pokemon names)
ОтветитьIt was Wobbuffet not Wailord
ОтветитьThe sour plum chips are actually so good
Ответитьi unironically love shrimp chips
ОтветитьThe editing is hilarious in this. 10/10 for the editing alone.
ОтветитьNo foreign potatoes in Japan? I guess the soil is just nutrient poor outside of Japan.
ОтветитьThese are fun and are helping me plan my trip to Japan. Any chance you guys can do a vegetarian/vegan taste test (especially of combini or street foods)? The friend I'm going with is vegetarian (slowly transitioning to vegan) and I don't mind the solidarity of trying them with her if they taste good.
Ответитьthat opening jumpscared me lol
ОтветитьConnor, we call sweet potatoes sweet potatoes. Yams are similar but different.
Ответитьsweet potato and yam is 2 diff things
Ответитьwhat i learned from this video is that if i go to Japan and want some crisps/chips i should get the ones with the black packaging or the pokemon ones
ОтветитьSweet potatoes aren’t yams. It’s almost the same thing tho. But we Americans usually eat and say “sweet potato.” Sweet potato fries, sweet potato pie, sweet potato and marshmallow thing on Thanksgiving. Former First Wife Michelle Obama was a big meme when she said, “My favorite vegetable is a sWEET potato.” Dong let the British dudes confuse you
Ответитьchris' belly looking through is shirt somewhere around 24 min forward really brings this video together

ОтветитьMy local supermarket started to stock the pizza potato chips, and they are super tasty!
ОтветитьSweet potatoes and yams are not the same thing. Yams are orange inside. Sweet potatoes are white inside and either purple or brown on the outside. Also they taste very different.
ОтветитьJust came back from Japan for the first time a few days ago - the Calbee Pizza ones gave me wicked indigestion after a small pack. There was a really good Calbee Salted Ruffle chip that I dug, and I really liked the Karamucho; tasted like a Lays BBQ chip.
Made sure to stay away from ChipStar from watching this video. Thanks boys!
I wanna eat all of those
ОтветитьSweet potatoes and yams are different tho? (This is coming from an American btw. Idk what you are going on about saying that Americans call sweet potatoes yams)
ОтветитьWhat a delicious video!
ОтветитьSo the real confusion is that some places (like Louisiana) call sweet potatoes "candied yams", particularly when they're baked with brown and white sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and (sometimes) orange juice concentrate. It's usually topped with either chopped pecans (with more brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon) or, my favorite, mini marshmallow toasted on a broiler.
A favorite around Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Also, while I don't personally like chips on my sandwich a lot of people in the U.S. do enjoy it as an easy way to add crunch.
What about honey butter chips?
ОтветитьYams are not sweet potatoes, I don't know where you got that information. It's like saying plantains are yellow bananas.
Ответить"HELL BENT, HELL BENT FOR LEATHER" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Judas Priest... LMAO...
