I think the last great talk show hosts were Letterman & Conan. The only good host rn is Stephen Colbert. All the others absolutely SUCK. Especially boring Seth Meyers 👎🏾

I love Letterman I didn’t give a third crap about the tonight show, but once he left through his projects I find his candor, vulnerability, and curiosity makes him much more appealing. I would actually watch TS now if he was on it. And i love the talk show host verbal clashing here. Neal was not gonna overtalk Letterman unchallenged 😆

Dave Letterman show was the absolute best thing on TV back in the day. I still miss spending time with him every night.

I LOVE being retired… after all those years of travel and work… I’m never bored. I became a father at 56.. got married at 58… bought my first house at 61 I love catching up on books, videos .. watching movies and Tv shows I watched years ago when they originally came out.. playing video games … ALL OF IT!

I always want to move to Manhattan and work in the office building across from Dave so he would shout into his megaphone to me. He's effortless, spontaneous humor has never been equalled.

Loved the last line, "and I wished I could have had a tv show for 30 years." to give Dave perspective.

Neal is right, this show is so much better just because there isn´t enough good counseling available.

Dave is from a generation that will never really address their blocks. He'll skirt close, but never delve in. I know.....cuz that was my Dad. Funny but don't wanna get deep.

My Family and I always liken Dave to my Uncle Paul. Two of the funniest whitemen we've known. RIP Uncle Paul Addie❤😢 we miss and love you soooo much!

BTW: Bert didn't make $25mil doing stand-up. He sold his story and they made a movie about his story. And that's how Bert cashed in.

I remember some actress telling Dave how many women were crushing on him and he seemed genuinely surprised..i mean how could he not know that...maybe he was playing coy...guess ill never know. 😮

Loved the podcast. Dave's voice sounds tinny. Wall surface behind him is too close and too reflective.

I'm shocked learning how Dave sees himself. He was such a big part of my end of day happiness for so many years. It's an interesting juxtaposition hearing how surprised Dave is, and how delusional Dave thinks Bert is about his shirt=failure, yet I think many of us have had that same reaction learning Dave's perception of himself. Love you Dave!!!!❤❤❤
