Governor Shapiro visits Berwick to announce Amazon's planned $20B investment in Pennsylvania data ce

Amazon needs to be broken up. Although nice for the state, having a monopoly that spans entertainment, shopping, and big data is a huge problem.

@Philadelphia, Keep close eye on Amazon. They promise jobs to states for tax benefits but then bring cheap indian labor on H1 and L1 visas.

The amazing thing is Amazon bought the property and announced all this in March of 2024, yet apparently Shapiro just got wind of it?

Our taxes are going up to cover all the Amazon tax write-offs because Bezos wants to get in on AI. The amount of water that's needed to keep all those servers cool will limit our supply. It will drive more out of state folks into PA. This is terrible as hell.
