I have 2 Fossil watches (a Diesel watch like this, but nearly twice as big) and a Gen 5 smartwatch. The Diesel watch has a quartz movement and the battery has been dead for a few years now.
My partner also has 2 Fossil watches - both the same model (one rose gold colour and one white ceramic). Also quartz and also with dead batteries.
They all served their purpose, but I can't see us using them again (apart from the smartwatch, which works well).

My God. For about five years I was a slavish Fossil fanboi. After a somewhat brutal therapy which masqueraded as 'rehab', I sold my Fossil collection and now I have become the successful human being I was always destined to be. Thanks WatchCrunch!

Why have a tachymeter if the seconds hand is the large one and the chronograph one is on the window?

I bought a Fossil Blue back in 1999. It was my first “nice” watch I had ever bought for myself. Wore it for two decades before it finally gave up and the movement broke. I’ve got another Fossil Blue my ex wife( girlfriend at the time) bought me for Christmas, and that one is still going. I think their QC fell apart through the decades and the rise of the Apple Watch forced them to cheap out even more to stay afloat. But that first watch still hold a special place in my heart because it started me on my watch journey and I have a collection of Omegas and Longines now because of it.

I find the little knobs on quick release bars dig into my wrist, I had to ditch them on one watch. Anyone else find that?

I have a similar model (FS4812) which I brought at a steep discount 6 years ago and while I've grown sick of it (also tried selling it for €50), especially since it's way bigger than what would suit my small wrists, it has held up remarkably well (not the strap tho) with just a few barely visible scratches and really good water resistance.

f this, just go ahead with a Casio, Edifice if price is a factor and you'll get QUALITY

The Casio name is seen as cheap or peasant level watches, no, don't do that. They offer price/quality that should be the standard

I always buy fossil watches witth discoounts, they have some good 40%-50% discounts on the website. I haven't paid more than $100 for these watches, they a are a good introduction for watches but not everyone can afford $200+ watches.

The reason the strap gets creases is because you haven’t oiled it at all, it’s real genuine leather and it requires oil. If you do not have oil on the leather then the leather will not only crease but crack and rip and break.

I have always bought watches that I like because I only have to impress myself. The only watches I'll ever buy are from Fossil and Swatch because they are and always be my favorites.
I recently bought a beautiful all black large Fossil mechanical watch at a Dillard's store here in Texas. The retail price was $170 but got it for $160. It's the watch in the metal box that says Fossil Tone/Long Range Reception. I don't wear it all of the time because it's my second and newest Fossil watch.
My original Fossil watch is a Fossil blue watch that I bought at a Macy's store in metro Denver in Colorado twenty three years ago as of early next month. It's still going strong with the usual battery replacement when needed.
I'd definitely buy that Fossil watch you just raped with your review in this video. It looks utterly awesome and I'd be proud to own it. I'll be going to the Swatch store at the Galleria mall in Houston, Texas as soon as I can. I plan on buying that large Arctic Blue watch and a Sir Blue watch.
It sounds like you should go shopping for a Tag Heur, Breitling or Rolex watch.

I understand that your standards are higher than mine. But unfortunately not everyone has a fortune to spend on a watch. I found the comments to be trivial and condescending. If you look at everything else like this you're going to be disappointed.

Just because you don’t like it, it doesn’t mean that it’s a bad watch. The strap quality is excellent and will hold up to 2-3 years excellently. Water resistance is exactly as advertised, even with the crowns free movement, since the Japanese made that movement that way. The stainless steel used is best at the price range. The glass complaint you mentioned seems to be only for your unit. Also, you said yourself that the movement costs 30$ and then says at the end that the watch is only worth 15 pounds. I guess the math isn’t mathing.
I’m personally not a fan of fossil watches, but that’s my view. It doesn’t make that a bad watch, just not for my taste.

Oh please...enough of the snobbery! I own a few Fossil watches (not this model) and I always get compliments on them. So now I'm listening to some guy trying to tell people who like their Fossil watch how uneducated they are for liking their Fossil watch.

And complaining that this particular Fossil watch is too bulky for your tiny wrists...perhaps you should check out the ladies section for a watch you might like.

I bought a fossil watch once, used it a couple of times, died within 3 days, they claimed it was toasted and beyond repair and ghosted me, shit felt fancy and expensive for a 19yo's first job and I totally lost the money, never again with this shitty fashion watches... Since that bad experience want it or like it or not I was left with this elitist mindset I can't part away with that you either buy cheap, like the good old F91W or GShock or if you want something fancier, since you are already really going to be spending, research so you can be knowledgeably sure you are paying for a quality timepiece and not for a mechanized fuckboy bracelet that will explode in your face

The light version of this is the same as Tom Holland is wearing in the Uncharted movie. I think it looks a tad better than the dark one. Still it feels sort of cheap ( its not the most expensive anyway tho ), and it's a bit bulky if you have tiny wrists, the leather strap doesnt help the thickness. Appart from that I think a lot of Fossil watches have a nice design, but there is something that makes em look cheap, would've loved to see them do the little extra on the finish.

My first 2 watches were Fossil, back when I first got them I thought they were the best things in the world until around a year ago when I started knowing my stuff on watches, I’ve only had them 3 years and the leather straps are already falling apart, but I still wear them every once and a while for nostalgia.

Hey Ben, you are brutal honesty makes you sound a little bit snobby. Makes you sound like an elitist rich kid. Therefore, the brutal honest truth is that the majority of the worlds population can’t afford the kind of watches that you like. That’s just a brutal truth. so there’s something called contentment that people have to exercise in order to be happy with their watch.
