ОтветитьAs a devotee of Lilith, I feel it's important to realize that the Lilith vampire myth has two origins. In medieval times, when SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) was common, Lilith , the former Queen of Heaven and the Underworld was made into a vampire or demonic type parody of death by some close minded patriarchal Religious folk. Of course to pagans, death is completely natural and is part of the cycle of life, a necessary and inevitable ending to any life process which starts again a new cycle of being. Unlike pagans who don't fear death, Death was likened to a fearsome vampire by those medieval scribes, a vampire which takes life away. The second origin is in the infinite void or Abyss of invisible or dark matter, which is energy that has not yet taken form. Energy which has taken form is light, or visible, tangible matter. This light or visible matter comes from the darkness of the Void, and returns to the Void again after it has fulfilled it's functions and usefulness. This natural process is like a black hole, which draws in all of the objects in a galaxy and ejects these again in a new format - an irresistable magnetic attraction if you like. In that sense I guess, the Great Mother could be envisaged as in some way, "vampiric", in a philosophical debate.
Trust this clears up any confusion about the Divine Feminine as being a "vampire". The Great-Ancestress of Aphrodite-Venus, Lilith, is the Goddess of Death and Love,,and to modern pagan devotees, Lilith is anything but a vampire - a malignant, horrific bloodsucking revenant which allegedly sleeps in a coffin and rises at night to drain people of their blood, or life essence. Satanists and Christo-fascists alike have the same view of Lilith - as a "Queen of Demons" or a Vampire - I wonder if they realize that their theories about Lilith are based in the ideas of a few biased patriarchs back in the Dark Ages, who wanted to demonize the Goddess and by extension, woman?
This is beautiful thank you 😊
