Kramnik just 8 in genius? He was the strongest player of history before computers

It is fair to say that Kramnik in his heyday was one of the most influential minds of our beloved sport that is chess. Just for beating the unbeatable Kasparov in the 2000 World Chess Championship would put him in a prominent place in the gallery of the great legends of world chess. But his greatest achievement, without a doubt, was to remain in the top 10 for over 25 years, with much of that time stricken and accompanied by his terrible illness. Due to this, we can safely say that Kramnik was, a "Warrior Monster!"

According to Kramnik himself, he mainly played the Berlin because Kasparov hadn't studied it that much at the time and Kramnik was taking advantage of Kasparov's temporary "blind spots." To wit, they played a game a few years later where Kramnik used the Berlin and Kasparov beat him.
