I have a hard drive connected by 2.0 (I thought it was 3.0 for a long time), 140 mbps when moving big files, and honestly does not run that poorly when a game is downloaded on it, load times are about double vs my nvme

btw i use arch (arch linux in case you didnt know) and i just wanna say that arch (arch linux, the distro i use btw) is much much more convenient than windows. arch (the distro i use, just in case you forgot) is amazing, i get to customize my entire set up exactly as i want and it’s awesome. windows is so much worse than arch (the distro i use, just gotta remind you in case you forgot)

Honestly I have a 14tb I shucked out of a USB drive. Its "cold" storage for games and updates and then when I decide I wanna play something I transfer it to my games SSD and bam done.
