I have been an admirer of Israel since I was 15. As a lefty kid I saw Israel so different from Arab neighbors and even the US because women have always served in its military. It is not perfect, as we have seen how women spotters near the Gaza border before Oct 7 were ignored, resulting in a catastrophe! But women in the IDF and other security forces are vital and must be appreciated!
