ОтветитьHi Kelli! Thank you for these videos!! I had a question: How many times do we do the hand over hand for the yes card before the child starts doing it on their own? Thank You!!
ОтветитьAmazing, this worked for my daughter.
ОтветитьI ask my son questions and he always repeat the question I asked but smart in other things but he answer certain questions like if I ask if he’s hungry he say no if I ask him did he have a good day in school he would repeat what I said
ОтветитьHow to teach my son to call me mommy ? 😢
ОтветитьGood informative video
ОтветитьI tried doing this today for my 22mo son. He got pointing at the sign right away, but won't nod or say "yes." When I say "yes" (Want candy? Yes! Want candy!) though, he giggles and giggles, so at least i know that's what he wants, whereas before he wouldn't make any reaction to a yes/no question. I tried to expand on the concept with his sippy cup,(want milk? Yes!) he just grabbed the cup and walked away, didn't even look at me, the little stinker....
ОтветитьThis is a note for parents , plz do not lose hope, every video of these needs months to work but it really worked with my child
Ответитьtrying this tomorrow bc i think my 1 year old is ready to learn this thank you so much! i grew up getting hit for a no and i don’t want to raise mine that way ❤️🩹
ОтветитьWhy all the onion hate
ОтветитьI wanted to come back and say thank you! I used this method to teach my 2 years old child with ASD to respond to my question in Yes/No format. While she knew how to say yes and no, it was never is response to a question we asked. She is very self directed. For example, In the past, we would ask 'Do you want milk?' She would not respond but just stare at us until she eventually says 'want milk'. After using this method for about a week, she started correctly responding to our questions. It's been about 5 months now and my little one is a pro at this. We are now working on building reciprocal conversation. But I wanted to sincerely thank you for these videos.
ОтветитьI will try this strategy to my 3 years old.i am so excited☺️
ОтветитьHi kellie, thank you so much for all the videos you make. They are very helpful. I have a 6 year old ASD child that is none verbal. I’m still struggling to teach him to respond yes or no to anything I ask. The struggle is real.
ОтветитьHello, we just had a two year old foster child placed in our home and she has no idea the difference between yes and no. I cant wait to work on this with her. Thank you.
ОтветитьTeaches parents yes/ no. Not aimed at toddlers.
ОтветитьIs this appropriate for a 15 month old? I tried it, and I made him mad 😂 he was just reaching for the cookies lol. Maybe he’s not ready? He’s currently pointing to communicate and sometimes waving

ОтветитьWhat if your child is on the spectrum?
ОтветитьMy son is confused with shaking and nodding his head. He shakes his head even if he actually means yes. Should I follow this method or back up to some other skills first?
ОтветитьThis video is awesome thank you keep it up

ОтветитьMy child is 10, are there anyway to help him speak. He tries to say words
ОтветитьHey there! So when I ask my son yes or no questions .. he will tell me “I want the cake” or “I don’t want to have a Bath” instead of yes or no. What do you think of that response?
