Ответитьplzz review sirius b v3 or copag3 10 alpha plzzz david
ОтветитьHey David, I wonder you wanna do the review of the new virtuoso P1 . Nice magic deck review. I want more cardistry deck review on you channel
ОтветитьNot a fan of this deck. The back design is pretty cool, and they handle nicely, so that’s great. And I think the markings would fool even people who know about marked decks.
That’s the end of what I like about this deck. I think the faces of the cards look terrible; particularly the court cards. They look like someone tried to draw a Muppet using only straight lines. They’re just awful looking. As a collectible deck, fine. To use with a spectator that has to recognize and remember a card? Awful. Absolutely awful.
And I really don’t care for the marking system. First of all, they say the markings are in “classic SHoCkeD” order. I’m 52 and “SHoCkeD” order isn’t “classic”. What is classic is “CHaSeD” order. So if you’re an ‘old school’ magician, used to CHaSeD order for everything else you do, you’ll have to put that aside and get into the habit of recognizing SHoCkeD order when using this deck.
Additionally, as you mentioned, you have to go to two separate places to get both suit and value. AND, the markings are pretty hard to read with absolute certainty for someone with aging eye sight. If you have to put your reading glasses on to read the markings up close, or the markings are so subtle that they can’t be read with certainty from too far away, either...then they become absolutely useless as a marketed deck. This is not a good working deck. It’s a novelty collector’s deck at best. Or, if you perform for a group that is likely to have someone who knows about marked cards and you want to slip the use of a marked deck by them, then these would be okay for that. But overall, I don’t think actually using this deck as part of a routine that utilizes a marked deck is very practical. Nice backs, good feel, lousy face images, and a clever, but very nearly useless marking system.
Superlative review, David.Never saw a marked deck anything like this. But I have ad eyesight so can’t use them. But enjoy the reviews
ОтветитьMaybe good brain game practice lol...thanks for the review Sir.
Ответить1st card is AC.
ОтветитьI’m obsessed with these and wish they didn’t have the magic coating on them !
ОтветитьLove these decks
ОтветитьWoah beautiful deck .... another great review
ОтветитьIf l buy one out of ten deck, I'll be able to eat this month.
Ответитьhappy Monday deck-review day David 🛸✈️🛬🚀🛩 ... have to check these out 👍🏻
ОтветитьThat is a nice looking deck of cards, but I have to pass on this one as I also go for the easier to read marking systems.
ОтветитьGreat review David 👍👍😊😊👍👍
ОтветитьI ordered a couple of them, should be getting within a week or so. Great review once again.
ОтветитьCool man
ОтветитьDay 140 of saying hi
ОтветитьThis was a great review. Completely agree. The cards handle well, feel great and I love the design. I would not, however, use these in situations where you cannot control the lighting. They would be OK for an effect in which you hold the deck and they cut it. I like the effect in Ellis In Wonderland. I think DMC elites are the best, but for the $ you can’t beat Penguin Maiden Backs.
ОтветитьYou literally took all the words right out of my mouth on these. Same age as you with the same age related issues. I too love Marked decks and love to see the continuous innovations in that genre. When I first grabbed these it was strictly from a collectors standpoint not even knowing they were marked, I just liked the geometric patterns. Then I started seeing people say before you watch the video, see if you can figure it out. Once it passed the riffle test I was super intrigued. All that to say, I really like this deck but not only will the code take practice but the markings are so subtle that even when you know where to look, they are difficult for old eyes. Thanks for the review :)
ОтветитьYou said it: The code markings on this deck are IMHO overly subtle. You’re 57. I’m 88. Cataract surgery has made a big difference in my being able to see/read markings. But this deck, IMHO, has markings that are overly subtle. Plus having to add 1, 2, 4, & 8 and then read the suit, without dozens of hours practicing, these markings take a suspiciously long time to read.
I also love marked decks. I have close to 100 of them. They occupy two drawers in my tool box. One drawer for readers which I use a lot. And another drawer for coded which pretty much go untouched. I will say that these cards handle nicely as do most of the P3 Penguin decks.
