Maybe film it from the neighbors roof next time so we can see closer
ОтветитьThis was ridiculously simple to follow. in fact it was so simple i almost couldn't believe it myself and looked at alternate guides etc. in my case our door frame was tight. the prehung fit snug. our house has alot of oddities. things that should be done properly weren't by the original owner/builders. We had slight gap top left side. side with hinges. We tried to align as much as possible to the plumb line. Figuring this side was the most essential given all the weight would essentially be driven off this side. We couldn't put a bracket on top of door hinge. Too large a gap. And then we just made sure after placing the door handle and bracket on that there was proper spacing and then drilling in the brackets on the right side of the door. I'm still in shock as to how simple this was. I spent more time worrying about screwing it up rather than just following the video instruction as instructed. I would've had this project done weeks ago.
ОтветитьWell that was easy who want to use shims
ОтветитьCan you use shims after as a reinforcement?
ОтветитьThanks for the quick and to the point video. So many others talk and talk before they get to the point. Well done.
ОтветитьThis is great but this is assuming floor is perfectly level which in many cases it's not. Video should address how to remedy unless you want one of the jambs raised off the floor.
ОтветитьApparently not for exterior doors with pre attached brick mold. You'd have to be Houdini to get the door in the rough opening with brick mold on one side and clips on the other. Same goes for installing the clips when the door is in the rough opening.
