Don't forget winning la Liga/Copa Del Rey against Real, Atletico brings MORE "value" than winning the L1 etc against...Marseille or Lille^^ True fact, nobody counts those titles/trophies the same way. Winning something in England and Spain is more "valuable" than winning something in France (logic). Winning Champions League is the must of course BUT it's also better if YOU are scoring and the "MVP" in the TOP games (finals). Dembele lost a lot of "fame/points" because sadly he is playing in France AND because he didn't explode in the Champions League Final.

Why you dont take the best player award in UCL for Dembele?

My only 2 critiques would be that the goals against good teams stat changes based on what league it is. For example, la liga has atlético, Madrid and arguably atlético club that are elite teams. Premier league has city, villa, arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and 2 Europa league finalists that are all capable of playing at the top level. Ligue one has Lyon and Lille. My other critique would just be that the individual awards can be based on things like age in yamals case while the ballon dor is objective and independent to how good a player is for their age. Also it’s better to look at fotmob or sorare man of the match than the actual game man of the match because a lot of performances, especially for defenders and midfielders (but it’s still relevant here) go unnoticed until you look at the game stats. Nonetheless, this has cemented my opinion that Salah still has a genuine shout for the ballon dor, as it should really just be between salah raphinha and dembouz. An average of more than. 1 goal or assist per game is absolutely crazy given his striker is Nunez and his team only scores 1 or two goals a game. One thing I’ve noticed for salah and raphinha though, is that even when they don’t get a goal or assist, they are still involved in the goal, creating space, or, in salahs case, playing the ball that creates the assist. I think people counting Salah out are silly, and it should be yamal who’s counted out. I know goals and assists aren’t everything, but for a winger, ga proves that the chances you create are actually good enough to be finished.

Let’s not forget that Barcelona played Madrid five times. It’s deceptive to not include the games played against top 3 teams because for yamal and raphinha that stat is insanely inflated. Also the teams scored 5 goals or so every game, so also take into account what percent of the teams goals they scored, to gage the true impact of the goals.

Statically raphina and salah cooked but salah messed with trophies ... And raphina won 3 trophies but lost in the semi final of ucl!!! Yamal not even in the discussion unless he wins the uefa nations league... So its between dembele and raphina for me for now ..... Cuz trophies also matter

They are all phenomenal players who had incredible seasons, but Dembele won EVERYTHING with PSG this year while being the lead man. It has to be him. He scored against Liverpool in CL (where was Salah that game?) ; In the final he led by example with 2 assists and focused pressing all game long. Brotha had an unstoppable year.

Yamal is insane considering that he’s still a teenager but Raph is clearly deserving.
