How does the software know that a bet is a positive one? From what I understood it needs to compare the odd being paid with the actual odd of it hitting. But how does it know the odd of let's say Barcelona winning? Isn't it subjective?

There will be streaks of wins and losses, and its disingenuous to suggest otherwise. I'd be interested in looking at the data.

The coin toss example is irrelevant because that's an objective probability but sports betting probablities are subjective.
