Late to the party here, but I had a dream that I was starring in a play (never done that before) and it was a foreign play, and I was literally on stage reading my lines in I THINK German?? Also, I don’t speak German. And my co-lead was the tall guy from Try Guys. Don’t even know his name. So it was all a bit scary I suppose.

AHH WAIT-- is your fan necklace also thrifted? I swear I have the same one! My brother's friend works at a "dump" but people just drop off jewelry, bags, art supplies, & all kinds of random perfectly good items. So he usually checks them out before they're actually trashed & brings by stuff he thinks I'll like. One of my very fave items was this gold fan charm that opens & closes, with a dragon on one side, & cranes on the other. The bottom charm was missing, so I made a tiny red tassel from embroidery thread, & even matching earrings.
The number of jewelry, findings & random hardware he's found is insane. I love trying to figure out what kind of person owned them before-- especially when there's a lot of it in a bag/box.

This was so fun, and reminds me of the stuff I used to make in high school...back when I was creative. What's really funny is that one of my aunts was just saying to me this weekend how she has a distinct memory of me wearing a pair of pants I made into bellbottoms at the campground one year, and how she loved how I used to put patches and beads on things. I've been thinking about that a lot lately, so for her to bring it up kind of makes me feel like it's a sign that I really need to start being more creative with my clothes again.
