i always thought timbs were trash. they seem like a walmart boot.
ОтветитьI'm old enough to remember when Timberland was high end in the UK and was only sold in the premium stores, my first pair were the Euro hiker and they lasted 5 years of abuse.
Just picked up a pair of the Helcor 6inch premium for $95 CAD. I'm not going to complain too much at that price point. They should last me a handful of years of winter use.
I was a Timberland fan boi in the late eighties and had a few pairs of these (and some of their very expensive clothes as well). The quality was exceptional. I recently revisited this brand about 10 years ago with a view to picking up another pair of premium boots for nostalgic reasons. Nope - complete garbage - bore no real relation to their earlier output. Best avoided IMHO
ОтветитьI bought some back when sears was around maybe like 2012 for work. Complete garbage! The outter sole started crumbling. Trash trash! Do not buy for work
Ответитьive had my timberland pro steel toes for about 5 years now and have heavily abused them working in mining across west africa, to this day they are the comfiest pair of steel toes ive ever worn
ОтветитьI can't speak to their quality, but after 20 years in blue collar trades work in 3 states, I have never seen them on a person who had work to do. The pro line, rarely, and those people have spoke favorably of them when I asked.
When i was a kid in school, untied, flopping around timberlands was the go to boot look that a fair number of black males liked to pair with sagging pants when trying to have that inner city look of the era, if not in the mood to wear basketball shoes. Literally nobody else wore them. I've always thought that was a very strange niche.
I've always thought they were very boring boot. Looks too fashion to be a real boot, but not all that stylish.
ОтветитьI’ve owned two pairs of timberland pro boots to work in and I love them and they hold up
ОтветитьPopular because they’re popular. I’m wearing Caterpillar boots right now and they’re just shoes. Nothing at all special about them. Probably fall apart as fast as a pair of Nikes.
ОтветитьDefinitely getting proper leather boots for next winter. But for now, I'm fine with my sneakers and boots I got from work. As these would be for mostly walking and biking in cities when it's colder or very crappy weather, I just want them to last a long time and look nice. Currently eyeing Kavat Nyhammar EP reddish brown.
Ответитьone thing that makes it way better for. me is the siluete, there are a lot of boots that look like timberland, but they are definitely not... so yeah it's not a performance boot, but it is comfy and look amazing with almost anything I think 200$ is a fair price for what they offer.
ОтветитьNever EVER wear these onto a construction site 😂. I’ve been wearing timberlands for 20 years and these 6 inch classic boot have turned to absolute trash. My last pair lasted me 10 years. The top part of boot ripped off from jamming my foot into the boot and pulling it up. 10 years though, that’s fine. Last winter I went out and bought a brand new pair in like an olive green, they look great. They were $310 Canadian and they are already falling apart, I’m so unimpressed with these boots now I will never buy another pair.
That being said, they will still continue to get my money as the only work boot I will wear is the timberland boondocker. The best most comfortable work boot I’ve ever had in my life. But these “classic” boots are no better then the garbage they’re made from
What do they look like after 1 year of wear
Ответитьwaterproof and insulated. that's why it's probably become a new yorker meme. place is cold, and a puddle will ruin your walk in a lot of shoes.
ОтветитьHonestly I think it is worthwhile. It is not indestructible, but considering the price, the waterproof, the comfort you get on day one, it is totally a fair deal. Much better than what Doc is. Just the style does not fit me well
ОтветитьHey, have you ever reviewed HAIX work boots? They are top tier in Europe, manufactured in Germany and praised for their repaireability! If not, please check them out. Cheers, Paul
ОтветитьWhy does the title of this video say "Timberland Pro," which is their workboot, but the video discusses their fashion boot? Why pass judgement on the toughness of the boot when you apparently are not sure which boot you're reviewing. I like the channel but you missed on this one.
ОтветитьGreat content!
ОтветитьEvery Timberland boot I’ve owned has been comfortable.
ОтветитьWorst boots in the world. They feel like bricks!!!!!!
ОтветитьPresumably no one uses boots without steel toe caps in construction? These aren't work boots....hence the "work boots style" in the spiel.
ОтветитьIn otherwords, nice boot, but way overpriced for it's class; as there are much better & cheaper alternatives with the same aesthetic... 🤔
ОтветитьBest looking boot ever made. I love my timbs since I’ve owned my first pair mid 90s
Ответитьnormally skip the ad sections but the fluidity of which you explained everything caught me of guard usually people hard-cut to reading off a script
ОтветитьThis is just a Triboot….
ОтветитьDon't know if this comment will get where it needs to? Where do you get your t-shirts?
ОтветитьAlso, bouncy shoes fuck your knees.
ОтветитьDude. More leather isnt more better. You just love leather.
ОтветитьThis is a fashion boot, NOT a work boot.
You want a good work boot, save your money and buy a pair of RedWings 8” Supersoles. A bit pricy but they last and they’re worth every penny, especially if your on your feet all day walking on rocks
Don't all work boots have to have steel toe or similar as a standard?
ОтветитьDo you know the crazy thing about Timberland years ago? They didn’t want in the city kids wearing timberlands we were the number one market for timberlands and they decided to put out a press release that they didn’t want any city, black kid, or Latino kids wearing timberlands just a little history on Timberland just in case you didn’t know peace and love people.
ОтветитьHave you guys made a video on the Helcor? Will you make one?
ОтветитьI have the timberland pro pit boss steel toe work boots and they perform very well for me. This iconic model is clearly just a fashion boot though.
ОтветитьI find these very uncomfotable. The sole is too stiff. It is heavy and hot.
ОтветитьTimberlands are the most durable boots I ever had. I've been wearing my last Tims frequently for almost 10 years in all weathers and I bought I new pair just because the outer soles was finally worn out. But all the stitchings were intact and the best part is the REAL LEATHER lining which did NOT fail even in the heel area.
My Blundstones on the other hand got broken stitching after just one winter already.
I always wear the heel out on the inside of the boot. Then that rubs, causing heal blisters.
ОтветитьLike most things investment companies get a hold of…they ruin due to profit only focus.
Ответитьthe one boot I was extremely disappointed in, Red Back work boots. I bought a pair from my tool truck at work for nearly 200$ and literally under 1 month of wearing the were trashed. just from wearing them. no abuse. no cuts l, burns or chemicals. just totally fell apart.
Ответитьit's all about the looks, others don't come close.
ОтветитьThese are fashion boots. Their customers aren't knowledgeable so Tim's had taken advantage of their name and street cred lol. They are a good looking boot. Hip Hop led young people into warm, fairly functional fashion.
ОтветитьTomberland apoya a israel. Está marca desapareció para mi
ОтветитьI own a pair of those, they're nice casual boots but they're no workboots. I also have a pair of steel toed TimberlandPro Rigmasters, wich is actually supposed to be a work boot and they are very good and durable
ОтветитьWhy are my timbs pale in the heel? Like the rubber/sole is dry and somewhat cracked, I mean I’ve had them for 3 years only wore the five times tops
ОтветитьTimbs are freaking hideous.
ОтветитьTimberland soul's uses to last for age's now after a month you see the wear, so you have to buy again rockports the same, get some knickers 😊
ОтветитьWhat’s the best and most comfortable steel toe work boot
ОтветитьI had a nice regular pair and a PRO pair. The Pro pair did not last and the regular pair took lots and lots of abuse. I’m an aircraft mechanic and I put them through mud, snow, water, chemicals like MEK and hydraulic fluids. I was extremely impressed by the sole. I was pulling on the leather upper and that’s what destroyed them. Also tying my boots tighter and tighter tore the leather where the laces attach. I’m trying a DD put but I bought them large which I’m upset about.
Ответить"Our boots are eco friendly." "Oh well, I messed up the sole on mine and need to repair it." "Just toss them in the trash and buy another pair." Fill in all boot references with anything else you want and that's pretty much any corporate marketing lately.
ОтветитьNever work in them. This style is just for fashion
