Great video! Glad you did an as perfect of a test as possible. I've long argued Mint gets deprioritized speed. I had Mint as personal phone and native T-Mo for a work phone, and I could NOT get any usable data on Mint in high-traffic areas like airports or sport venues. Awesome job!

After watching this, I decided to stay with Prepaid... I was gonna switch to Mint but the deprioritization really hurts....

You could make this a service. Travel to every big city in the US. Get a ton of phones. Test all plans of all carriers. Unsure how that'd be profitable, but I don't have my ear to the ground.

Prepaid has higher priority but you only get 5.5 gigs unlimited data.....

If I was to use a VPN once my 35 gigs of data is used will it still be throttled? Right now it is throttled so badly my phone is unusable and I even use it very conservatively. I may have about 2 or 3 days at the end of my billing cycle where my service is useless and my phone no longer has access to the 30gb of hotspot data that I have with my plan. May I please have an answer if not that is fine, thank you.

I'm learning the speeds for LTE vs 5G on Metro since I'm a customer. Tomorrow, my iPhone XR with 4G LTE will be upgraded to iPhone 13 with 5G.

I use Vodafone postpaid plan here in India of 10$ per month and get 2000GB cap with speed over lte ranging between 20 to 50 mbps.

T mobile Magenta is at 100GB/mo and the Magenta Max doesn’t have a prioritization.

Hell. All of these are better than my Simple Mobile speeds rn.

do your test on different days and different time zones and you will see a big difference. nice test tho

I’d love to see a speed test comparison of all 3 lower tier cell phones going at the same time as 1 high tier cell phone. Would the 3 lower tier cell phones be sharing 20% while the 1 top tier phone still gets 80%?

T-Mobile prepaid is the way to go but the only problem is video stream is limited to 480p quality. Also ping is higher on speed tests. But the download speeds are about the same as Magenta Max

I use mint as my second line in my iphone 13 pro always get good speed when my verizon dont want get 5g in some area
