I've been waiting to hear this song for so many years. We had the 7" single in the early 70s. Such a great song and Clifton Davis' brother had a beautiful voice. I was only 6 years old and had no idea about the movie and its risque theme. We got the single because my cousin was at the time allegedly engaged to TL Davis at the time, and when my sister went to New York in '72, our cousin gave my sister the single (it may have been a demo at the time), as a gift. I loved the 45 and would play it all the time. TL later broke off the engagement with my cousin, which devastated her, and she had a nervous breakdown. She eventually recovered and got married years later, and she and her hubby have been married or over 30 years. TL seems to have no footprint online. He's not even listed as a sibling to Clifton Davis. It's kind of strange that there's nothing out there on him. I really digged his voice as a kid, and this is the only record I know of him. I'll have to do a little more digging to see if he's recorded anything else. Thank you for posting this track. It brought back such fond memories of playing it on our Sony hi-fi stereo and watching the 45 spin and hearing TL's warm soothing voice.
ОтветитьI love it!
