The difference a great kicker makes is obvious. If we have to draft a guy late to get the best possible one I would do that.

What a difference a competent staff makes in so many aspects of the game. Darrick Forest was the best safety we had the past 2 years and we were all excited to have him. Even during free agency, we(the fans) thought we were good at safety with Quan/Forrest and should focus our efforts elsewhere.
I admit we were wrong but at the same time I'm hoping that a week of reps with the ones and more playing time he will remind us of why we were hopeful about him.
I also think that it while it will be divided, Percy Butler will probably get most of the snaps pretty much just based on the fact Chinn is probably one of the top 3 athletes on our team so it makes sense to replace that role that has good athletic abilities. Nevermind the actual responsibilities but even things like corners passing off receivers, there will be less of an adjustment figuring out how far they need to carry the guy. While the scheme may say you pass him off at X point, it matters how fast the guy behind you is when your contemplating carrying that WR an extra step or booking it to the flat to cover the RB that just leaked out.

The Commanders lack of pro targets for JD is bitting them in the butt now. Center returning is good news. However the rookie TE draft pick doesn’t seem to be a keeper, again. They might make the play offs but they’re not beating the Eagles this season. We have the QB, they have every thing else. Certainly a great improvement over last season. Plus the NFL/gamblers aren’t on our side.
