What Happened to Minecraft Console Minigames?

I remember playing battle with a really good friend of mine and waiting in the lobbies man it’s crazy how I almost forgot about these they were actually a lot of fun with people

Hot take: I miss the old version of minecraft and I honestly hate how minecraft is adding new and unnecessary things to new updates. I agree that some of their ideas are cool, like the warden and the cave systems, but it's gotten out of hand. I wish games like minecraft would stay the same and didn't update so much, because I miss the nostalgia I had while playing mini games with my siblings. RIP old minecraft, you will be forever missed 🕊️

Bedrock is very glitchy and slow. It takes some time to open the inventory and it's uncomfortable to use. I prefer legacy.

someone named tem ported battle to java (all maps, voting etc. included) and is planning to add more. Its a closed alpha tho and yee idk when its being released as it hasnt seen big succes and it -20 min to find a round.

i absolutely hate bedrock, and i wish they just made the legacy versions cross platform

Man I miss those lobbies, they were so much more chill and fun than Java and Bedrock servers.

I still have my nintendo switch I used to play mc on, I still remember playing the minigames everyday after school, and watch the game modes slowly die out, eventually finding a two player lobby became nearly impossible. 😭😭

Man when Bedrock took over Console it felt so boring. Bedrock was just a buggy mess and didn’t have the good UI, graphics, soundtrack and customisation like the Legacy Console edition. All the great minigames on them that I fucking loved even as a usual Java player were replaced with boring, cheap knock off minigames of the Java ones that weren’t even close or fun as the minigames on Legacy. I might get hate for this but I found the Legacy minigames more fun than the Java ones. And none of it was kept in Bedrock, just cheap knock offs UNDER PAY WALLS

This is the one Minecraft feature I'd sacrifice a finger to get added to modern bedrock.

The Mini games (especially Battle) are all really fun to play (probably because of nostalgia) I just wish they had a bigger player base so I can actually find a game

We will never forget the time we had fun playing minigames with our friends. I remember being the best in my friend group at pvp then losing to the worst player by jumping into lava think i had fire rez 😝

Ever since battle was discontinued, people have made ports of battle to java (not sure bedrock), so people can relive playing legacy battle

There should be a mod that remakes these gamemodes with all new stuff and add new maps. Hell maybe even more songs

Glide is still fun, i always beat my friends though.

Im not sure about other consoles but the ps4 edition still has an active battle playerbase and at peak hours you will find good tumble or glide minigames. as long as you bought the physical version of the PS4 edition before december of 2019, you can still swich back to the legacy console editions using a button in the menu, even while playing on PS5

I used to play them with my sister and loved it... but it pissed me off when she always got mad at me winning

I remember about 3 or 4 years ago me and my friends would always play these

I played on wii u and when it got discontinued it was a very sad moment. I still played up until 2020 but then my wii u broke and now I am on windows 10. Legacy console was the golden age of the game
