Sharnea and Gal'thain were lovers before the scourge attack on Qual'thas. They were both adolescents when the wars started. Gal'thain Joined the BE army, while sharnea continued her studies as a mage. Sharnea was pregnant at the time of the scourge attack so she escaped, while Gal'thain fought. They both managed to survive. (Gal'thain with the help of exdexa) They met up in Dalaran, only to be flung in prison for Kael'thus's acceptance of help from the Naga. When they escaped to outland, Gal'thain was once again recruited into Kael's army and served Illidan. When Illidan was defeated in northrend, Gal'thain was almost killed by the scourge, with his remaining strength he sent out a bolt of light, allowing his brother-in-law and friend to be saved, killing many of the scourge. He was brought back by Kel'thazzard to be made into a death knight. Sharnea believing Gal'thain to be dead Joins with the Horde, when they reach outland, after years she spent serving in the scyers. She fights Illiadan... But after the battle, desperate to see her children (Shaznia, Sal'thain and Dragor) she gets tricked and ends up captured by a human Paladin called Brian Goldbell. As Sharnea suffers something is awoken inside Gal'thain, the ghost of his half Nightelven mother, Tyruna and she sets him free of the Lich Kings control.
Sharnea escapes and a friendly troll helps her home and at the same time Gal'thain and his friend Tarken are trying to escape Northrend to find Orgrimmar, where Tarken believes He can convince his brother-in-law Kachal to help them.
