Tank's a lot Master Dom for this tip ! Very usefull !
Patrick Desjardins
Hi Dom, Could you make a video about that how can we assign our MIDI keybord controls to MIDI CC.and use them for all vst instruments? What I can see you use yours for dynamics, articulations etc.
ОтветитьDom, you rock!! Thanks. Very clear and useful right now!
ОтветитьAlso, this is video is really useful! Thanks Dom. I'm always find something new. 😃
ОтветитьDom, Is it possible that you could make a video to show how to use Cubase 13 and Superior Drummer 3 outputs to take the midi and convert the midi to audio channels I would appreciate it Thank you so much Dom! great video by the way! 🎵⭐👍
ОтветитьThanks Dom. Simple and great.
ОтветитьIch arbeite hauptsächlich mit Cubase und es gibt immer etwas, was man noch nicht ausprobiert hat. Super, danke Dom!
ОтветитьThank you very much Dom👏 that is exactly what i was looking for the other day 👍
ОтветитьI am watching this at work and praying that It works in Cubase 12 pro and with Steven Slate drums, because I HATE having to bounce everything down to single stems in order to mix them
ОтветитьThanks Dom, excellent info clearly demonstrated, yet again. Go well
ОтветитьGreat tutorial!,...thanks.... Am I right when I say that it is no longer needed to convert midi into audio (which I always do) for mixing? Or to dissolve a drumtrack ?
ОтветитьI ALWAYS have to save and share your videos Dom. Thank you fir helping this weekend Cubase warrior learn as much as I can.
ОтветитьThanks, Dom!
Question guys: Let's say I'm working with Superior Drummer and re-route every mic to a separate output. The presets in SD have lots of nice plugins inserted in its built-in mixer. When I use route the mics/mixes to Cubase, I get the processes from every mic, except for the master, because now, of course, the mics (or each instrument mix if one has more than one mic, like the Kick) are routed outside of SD, and the final mix within SD gets no signal. So I lose the final step of the sound process (sometimes, there are several plugins there, maybe a couple compressors and an EQ, which are not included other than in that built-in mixer).
Is there a way to keep that, or should I replicate it with other plugins in Cubase itself (using a group channel)?
It's ironic that you use Groove Agent and Halion as your examples because they have a LOT of mixing and. FX functionality built in so you don't really need to use multi out.
ОтветитьThanks !
ОтветитьGreat tips and another really useful video. Thanks very much Dom, much appreciated!
ОтветитьI thought Halion had 2 b a „rack“ instrument 2 do dis - is there any advantage 2 use it in dis mode?
ОтветитьPeople could also do dat inside Halion or GrooveAgent
ОтветитьUpto now, I mostly duplicate the drum track and produce each sound on separate tracks, thus providing a separate channel for each drum, then mix each one back into a stereo group for compression, reverb etc
I’ll now look forward to watching this and see how it could work moving forward! Dom is a Cubase Guru!!!!
Thanks !
Ответитьjust mentioning HalionSomnic7 has ALSO drumkits, and lots of Loops.... many people never understand this...
ОтветитьDom, can you go through all your hardware devices for us that are either in front of you or close by on top of the desk? I just want to see your setup. Great video as usual. Thanks for the tip.
ОтветитьThis is one of the reasons why Halion and Groove Agent are my go-to's for instruments and drums when I start a song. It would be cool if with Halion the mixer channel would also automatically appear named if you assign the vst channel first, like with Groove Agent.
ОтветитьHello Dom, do you use a sustain pedal?
ОтветитьThank's Master....after every video you should know that I am richer....?????
ОтветитьTHE BEST
ОтветитьNo doubt Cubase is an awesome Daw but still there is something missing for producers like us from the South Asia, as we have the option of 1/3 in the piano roll of FL studio which makes it easy for us to work in our genres of music but no such option is there in Cubase midi editor, I hope one day the said issue will be resolved and we will also move to Cubase
ОтветитьDoes this work the same with Kontakt ?
ОтветитьSo how would you deal with multi outs in something like East West Opus.
ОтветитьCoolness, thank you for this. 🎹♥️
ОтветитьVery useful and explained clearly. thx
ОтветитьCan you point me to a video where you commit tracks please? Thank you.
Ответитьincredible dom tenx
ОтветитьGreat video!! Didn't realize you could view outputs from VSTi area in Right Zone
When routing outputs from Groove Agent SE5, I can just do it from Groove Agent without activating them in the VST area. I'm not sure if that's a necessary step, at least for Groove Agent!
The drum part is very interesting and useful.
Now, is it possible to do the same for drums in terms of MIDI tracks?
When I record a drum track on my keyboard it all goes out to the same MIDI track.
Is it possible to reroute the Bass Drum, Snare etc. to separate midi tracks so that I could make MIDI edits in separate tracks?
Thank you Dom, this video helped me a lot. Awesome job!!!!
Ответитьexactly the video i was looking for
Ответитьdigging that desk . what is it? your channel is the most informative I've come across so far. . thank you for what do. Also most important your chords are so full and appropriate. If it gives you goosebumps you did a great job. Do you have a record I Can buy? So impressed with this channel.
ОтветитьCan you add new midi data with the multi outs? As the record button only appears on the main instance of the plugin?
ОтветитьOh, I found that if I use the Render In Place function I get just exacly the separate tracks of the multi-instrument. All is fine!
ОтветитьHi Dom,
Amazing video. It's exactly what I needed for Groove Agent 5. Thanks.
It does work in cubase element?
ОтветитьOMG, I searched for this option in the inspector( where it used to be). Thank you. BUT: When I try to reroute the different outputs from the vst in the inspector, it always changes them for all outputs. Did drive me crazy until I tried changing it in the mixer. That worked. Seems to be a bug? idk.
ОтветитьIs there a way to see those channels in the main screen as well instead of just the mixer?
ОтветитьMy audio input into my Vmix is through a USB which gives me a single line of audio track.
I need to split this single audio into int's different instrument lines/tracks (6-7 lines in all) so I can adjust each one as required before finally re adding audio to my Vmix production and final stream.
I have been reading on and researching to find the best vst3 plugin that can do this. My plan is to install this VST3 plugin into Vmix, but I'm open to any solution that works too.
Any advise? Thanks.
It's a must to show wich versions of Cubase have the features mentioned on the vídeos.
ОтветитьThank you, thank you Dom!
I've been meaning to find this out for quite a while but would always forget. Then I happened across this video. Thanks ever so much for clarifying all this.
Superb tutorial - can't fail with Dom.
ОтветитьThank You for this video!
