speechless when zeke asked me to test it. what a day. an M8c (competition)... BMW F92 range topper... thanks again zeke and chairuddin for letting me test it. this car has just adequate street tyres installed so plenty of under and oversteer but enough to get an idea of the car true potential. it is probably safer that way... to prevent us from going too crazy...

with proper neat driving and setup, and good rubber, 1:41-42 is easy... however, today its about testing and a preview of the monster... we only got 3-4 laps to test...

the weight:
it is a heavy 1885kg grand tourer... so i don’t expect it to handle well on circuit... but i am surprised that it wasn’t any real issue. felt as light as its little brethren

the power and torque:
any street car above 500hp 500nm is overkill for sentul imho. but the special thing about this grand tourer is how it delivers its punches... no scary yank... yes it is savage but civilised at the same time... plenty of warning and considering the tyres that we are using, the power delivery is smooth.

the xDrive:
i am all RWD but i appreciate the rear biased AWD sport in this car. it pulls me put of danger many times without having to apply too much angle on counter steering. i prefer RWD, but the AWD is much faster... for comparison, i only managed to do 1:47 on tuned BMW F10 M5 RWD with similar weight and power due to its inability to put power down to the tarmac

the 8speed automatic:
it is confusing for someone as oldschool as me who is a diehard fan of 5speed H pattern manual transmission, and give the limited lap we have to try, putting it on D is best for me... i have enough on my plate trying to keep the beast on racing line... i don’t want to split my focus trying to figure out the optimum gears to use.

with me and zeke in the car, we saw 1:43.9 on the racechrono, with 1:43.3 optimum prediction, however we decide to post the pure 1:44.2 laptime as a final time as the other laps has questionable corrections and gps error.

not important as actually seeing an M8c on circuit itself, even more actually driving one. thank you again for the rare opportunity for a BMW fans like me.
