This seems like an extremely unfair comparison. You're comparing a 250$ monitor to a 500$ monitor. You're point makes more sense to compare it to one around the same price point

I've had this monitor for about two years. I use it with my xbox series x at 1440p 120Hz need too put it in RTS mood for that too work tho. I dont see how he saying its not bright enough tho. It is for me on my x too bright sometimes lol. i put the x in night mood at 40% most of the time when im playing unless the sun is shining in. This monitor looks really good to me tho. cant beat buying it second hand for 50 bucks. I would recommend this AOC monitor for the series x for Sure !!

Loved AOC the specs and durability is well above average considering the price.

Iv had this monitor for 4 years. It’s perfect only just has the screen started glitching a bit when it’s first turned on

I got two, I hate bright monitors and I play with blackout curtains and the only room lighting is from RGB lightbulbs, so it's absolutely perfect

Coming from the future, where you have a beard, this episode is very uncomfortable.

Two things I don't like about today's monitors. Since most gamers place their desks facing a wall, the stand's rear-facing RGB also faces the wall. This results in diffused lighting rather than direct lighting. Also, I wouldn't say I like the placement of the controls. To me, it's like playing a game of hide-in-seek. My older monitors placed the controls on the front side, facing me, and easy to access. Some models had their controls backlit, so I could see them easier. Guess I'm living in the dark ages.

I use the aoc 144 hz 1080p monitor, and for equivalent of 150 bucks, its amazing, after 4 years of usage i am not planning on changing it. Also my model has pivot, i don't know why yours, more expansive one doesn't.

but i like 1080p

you can also set the brightness or ingame or on the nvidia panel and its not even that bad great colours and you wont get your eyes burned

I like that now we have access to quality high end pc gaming and content creation products for such a value

The low brightness is to my benefit I'm extremely sensitive to light

you have to remember that most people playing games are doing it in a room with maybe 1-2 lights on, while you guys have probably a few 1000w bulbs turned on for filming lol

I got the new version of this monitor for 150€ used. For that price, there is literally nothing I can complain about.

I go into the gpu settings and turn up contrast to get a brighter screen, if you want more color turn up digital vibrance.

I have an AOC 1080p 60hz monitor and let me tell you they didn't drop anything when making that monitor, that is the baseline of their products.
I've played too many games on this monitor and can now no longer go outside, even though the weather over here in Wales is dark grey clouds all year long I still feel like I'm being flash banged every time I answer my door. One night I opened the curtains to look up at the night sky thinking I'd be safe, but I was blinded by what I believed to be the sun until I later realized it was just the moon and that my eyes hadn't seen anything so bright in years.

Anything i see with AOC initials makes me throw up in my mouth and it's not the product causing it....

Dont buy anything from this garbage company. Ive had 2 monitors that half the time say no signal, and the only way I found to fix it is to abruptly shut my pc down from the power strip, which isn't good. These monitors want you to jack your pc up before they will display anything
