Iv always struggled with this tune...must be the finger positions..any other metallica fine but this is a no..i had to give up ages ago ha..seems solid to me

Hi!! I'm a self taught beginner and I've been practicing on guitar for like, two months? And really I haven't done that much progress since but, well, I'm trying to play this and I'd say if my damn fingers would place themselves in the right position when switching chords/frets, i would be able to play it just well.
Apart from the fact that I cannot do those stretches 😭😭 i mean at some point i actually can but i really can't manage to put all together, i need some seconds to put the fingers on the frets and go, anyway, why is my guitar making a kind of different sound? Mine is classical and it's tuned with "guitar tuna" but i still hear a difference, is it like a matter of price?

Very clear and way better than these clickbait 3 part 30 minute videos that are mainly talking and no playing. I'm a bassist and just found my grandads old classical guitar and this will be my first song.

I know musical structure when you say play a g I get it . So as an example, you say play a G,C,Am. Cords or single string notes it's easy . You do this 👍 most just speak tab . And to an old man that's cumbersome . Very soon the fingers just link to the note . Without thought . You also mention barr chords . What's better at the end of a day than beating seven bales of shit out of a good 12 bar . So easy do simple and feels bloody good .

thanks man ,,, nice vid....(in my opinion if someone does know the strings they should not be doing this...
i am learning to play, i first learned the names of the open strings ,, i am learning the fret board now ... i am doing the two E and A now and the rest after ) and to commit to muscle memory the strings... also the chords DAG then i would go on to ECF ,,, THAT IS ABOUT 2yrs to master... along the way i would try to learn some songs ,,,

You teach better than Marty Schwartz's his video wasn't as detailed. I've not got it spot on yet but going well . Was mainly the getting the finger picking along with the intro part that got me at first but getting the hang of it now . Many thanks again.
