Senior dogs are just wonderful souls, few years back I adopted a 8 year old dog at local shelter who was very depressed as he lost his lifelong owner of cancer and he has been there for about 6 months and no one had glanced at him and he stopped eating, my dog had died of cancer the day before and I was not really ready to adopt a dog so soon but I walked through the door and knew nothing about him and he came to the kennel door and slid his paw under it at me, I took him out and it was kinda raining outside and he came out and laid on top of my feet with his tummy in the air just gazing at me and gosh I ended up adopting him that night and picked him up the next day, I had him for 5 years after that before he passed away from degenerate myopathy a desease that takes away dogs ability to use back legs and then slowly the front legs and then they pass if they still here that long, I cared for him everyday for a year without him being able to use his back legs, I would life up and support his back legs so he could walk with the front legs like his own wheel chair but my arms instead. He passed this last November and I miss he greatly, one one the best things I ever did in all my life was adopt my buddie boo.

This is why I'm not pro No Kill Shelter. You cannot leave a dpg in a cage for years on end. Its messed up. They always say when you see a dog spinning in a shelter, that dog is gone. People want to be "kind hearted" and keep them alive but leaving them in a cage is better? Messed up. Poor thing.

I adopted a 18 years old Calico /Tortoise female cat... Her previous owner was in the Hospital and passed...He knows she is ❤ loved and well taking care of.... She is very happy in "Yael's Arc" my home 🐾🐾❤
