1963 Volkswagen Beetle Coupe - SOLD

We had a blue one with a fabric sunroof (last year), a Blaupunkt radio and an all synchro transmission (first year). Cool car.

My dad had a 63 same color and very clean in 1969. Of course being 16 years old, I rolled it going 60mph around a corner on a city street. Should have been going 15 or 20. Young and stupid, minor injuries. Sold it to a guy who pulled the body and put a fiberglass dune buggy body on it. Had to pay my dad back the $600 he paid for it 6 months earlier.

Back then when VW knew what it was doing. I ❤ it!

This was my first car - almost the same color! My dad had it restored and gave it to me on my 16th birthday (in the 1970's). I loved it and still get a good feeling when I hear one driven from that era. THANK YOU for bringing back some very good memories.
